Two 1 minute glute raises.
Two sets of ten squats with 50kg then one set with 45kg.
Three sets of pull-downs with 40kg.
Three minutes of Turkish get-ups with a 12kg kettlebell.
Part of a pyramid of jerks with an 8kg kettlebell (only part though because my shoulder started hurting again).

30 min progressive fartlek run on the treadmill. Didn't get completely exhausted, but was still completely soaked in sweat afterwards. Felt really good.

after not running for a couple of years, and having not biked (really) for the last month, I decided to do c25k all at once. I did the 5km (first 3km each within 2s of 5m20s, and the last 2km about 30s slower.. so, super consistent, considering). it was mostly fine, but my legs aren't used to it. cardio-wise, I could have continued if my leg muscles wanted to play ball

Track workout: 5x800 repeats at faster-than-your-upcoming-A-race. Since my A race this season is a half-Ironman (where the run is a half marathon) I was going for 10k race pace, but ended up faster than that (more like 5k race pace... because I suck at pacing.)

Nice, vegcasserole.

Monkeytoes, you just sort of amaze me. I need your motivation. Are you usually training for a specific event to keep you on track?

Sun: 90 min elliptical while re-watching Lost. 3 mile walk with the pooches.
Mon: 3 mile walk
Tues: run 9, walk 3
this morning: p90x plyo

*blushes* Thanks! I am always training for a specific event to keep me motivated. I never knew how to stick to a program until I joined a triathlon team; my motivation has always come from outside, mostly from being accountable to other people. I love having a coach because she does all the planning and I just have to execute the plan and report to her. I think I've been doing it long enough now (two years) that my internal motivation has kicked in. I really do love seeing the progress I've made, poring over my own data, and (of course!) the work itself, particularly running. I think I'm at the point where it is its own reward now. But I was talking to some teammates on Monday about what everyone's plans were for the summer. I have a half-Ironman in June and a half marathon in August as solid and am planning on wedging an Olympic distance tri in there in July and probably ending the season with another half-Iron. Some of the others were like, "Oh, I'm leaving it pretty open right now. If I feel like racing, I'll sign up for something." I don't think I'm there yet... having something specific that I'm committed to keeps me focused!

Man, you all are so motivating. I just started daily exercise a week ago. Today I went on a 20 minute run and did a fifteen minute pilates workout, plus my typical walk to/from work. I'm only on day five, but I really enjoy running and can already feel my stamina increasing.
