Aw, footface! Good run while it lasted. Did you enjoy your first day off in over 300?
It felt weird. And then it felt good to be back at the gym. Then I remembered I really can't stand working out.
I get that.

Max rounds in 3 minutes of:
95 pound Power cleans, 3 reps
6 Push-ups
9 Squats

Rest 1 minute. Repeat for a total of 5 cycles.

I did 17 rounds.

Oh, and an hour easy spin on the trainer that I didn't realize I was supposed to do until after I'd showered, dressed, done my hair, etc... oops. Will do that a little later so that I can just rinse off after and hop into bed.

In 2012, I went to the gym 135 times. I thought that was incredible.

If I go tomorrow, which I assume I will, my 2013 total will be 338 times!

That's a 150% increase!

That's an awesome achievement Footface. Have you noticed any benefits? How did you keep yourself so motivated?

Yesterday: very slow walk round the lake where I usually do my C25k-ing. Slow as in "stop for ten minutes and feed the birds", "stop for ten minutes and play with sticks" etc (so at least the kid was active). I almost coughed up a lung, and it wasn't even cold! Definitely not ready to get back to running yet. Boo.

That's badass! I wish I had that kind of commitment. I'd like to get in to yoga this year, starting with once-a-week classes until I get a routine I can do at home.

2:00 run - my first 5-run week! (Weeks run Monday - Sunday in Training Peaks, which is the program our coaches use... it's annoying at first, but it really does make sense to look at Saturday and Sunday as a unit since most of us train around a job and use weekends as our biggest training block.)

There's commitment, and then there's commitment. (Take a look at someone like monkeytoes! I don't know if I could even survive one of her workouts.) I think I'm just bullheaded.

I did a yoga class and I suck! Haha. It was probably a bit too advanced for me (my gym only does one class) and some of the poses were hurting my bad ankle. But I have a beginner's dvd so I might stick with that for a bit, but I don't wanna give up after 1 class so I rebooked for next week and will go if I'm not working by then.

Team track workout. The track was super muddy and squishy so no speedwork, just a steady 2.5 miles for the main workout.

I often find I don't like new classes the first time, in fact, I often need to go a few times before I can make a judgement.
I'm trying to get back into more regular exercise after various illnesses and injuries. Yesterday was swimming & kettlercise. Today was 5k run & a body combat class. I haven't done body combat for probably about a year. It was the new release. It was good to be back.

I had such a nice, low key workout this morning! A 30 minute walk followed by 30 minutes of hatha yoga. Generally I do 45 - 60 minutes of power/vinyasa yoga in the mornings, and it was really nice to just slow the hell down this morning.

Today was a swim & riding.
I am so sore from body combat yesterday! I had planned to run 5k again tomorrow morning & to do body balance in the evening but I think I may have to substitute the run for a swim unless this soreness decreases overnight, I'm struggling to walk & sit down at the moment!!!
