Learned the Turkish get-up and can do it balancing a shoe on my fist!

I'm starting to begin more serious gymnastics training again. For the past three years I've really just been in maintenance mode, but I want to finally make some progress and achieve one arm handstands, iron cross, and a full planche. Trying to find the right balance between that and rock climbing to prevent injuries.

Easy 12km run with 2km sub-tempo pace midrun and last 2km tempo pace.
After a kinda sucky week, run wise, this felt good.

9 mile run w/the last 3 miles at tempo (HR-wise, anyway... paces were all over the place because I picked a really hilly course.)

An "easy" 5km - I ended up running it tempo pace. I've had a rough few days feeling like I was getting sick and my legs felt really fresh on this run. Thankful!

A lot of goblet squats, a lot of "naked" Turkish get-ups, 120 swings, eccentric (? just the down part) push-ups, three point rows (working toward a pull-up!).

C25K run at lunch.

Hopefully will get to go to my friend's far superior YMCA gym tonight and do a Stronglifts 5x5. I attempted it at my gym yesterday (after starting it at hers), and they were severely lacking in equipment. But not creepers. They were NOT lacking in creepers.

Ditto, MT!

I was going to head to hot yoga this afternoon but instead I'm going to take on dog on a nice long walk. I actually *feel* amazing, no lingering tiredness or soreness, but I'm trying to remember that even if the initial stress is gone it doesn't mean I am ready for hard workouts yet.
