Yup. My team's unofficial post-Ironman rule is "when your legs feel ready to run again, wait a week." I gotta think it applies to marathons, too... maybe three days after you think you're ready. That said, I'm going to run/walk a 5k tomorrow with an 11 year old.

Easy 10km run. First real run since my marathon last weekend. It was a great morning: sunny and clear, and my run felt effortless.

Yesterday's 5k ended up being all walking and today I walked another 3 miles or so. Last day of recovery week, back at the track Tuesday.

Team track workout. My modified main set was 2x1 miles at half marathon race pace, total workout was 4 miles.

Today: 1700 yard swim with a 1000 yard time trial

Yesterday: 5km tempo run

Today: 28km run - we ran some of the course for the 50km race I'm running in two weeks. It felt good to see some of the course before hand.

i did a big-girl weight workout!! not a weird wacko one that i threw together myself, but one complicated enough i don't know how i will get it into my fitness thing. (i'm not even sure what online fitness thing i use anymore, it's been that long.)

You guyses, I'm really trying to get back into shape after a hibernating and rough winter. I've jogged two days in a row now! Not necessarily trying to jog everyday, just trying to do something a little active (yoga, walk, swim, bike, fitness equipment, etc.) Anyway, feeling good about it.
