What was supposed to be my post-half marathon 40 minute recovery spin on the trainer became instead my post-sick 40 minute ease-back-into exercise spin.

late-night blackjack tournament turned friday into recovery day - from 4 pints of beer, not the workouts ;)

so, friday's workout became saturday's...
warm-up: 16min run on elliptical
strength training: shoulders and legs

and sunday was back on track...
warm-up: 16min run on elliptical
strength training: abs and arms with extra crunches thrown-in

but then storms knocked the power out last night, so today turned into recovery day from staying up until wee a.m. minding the generator and sump pumps... hitting the hay early tonight.

Sorry to hear you got sick before your race, MT. I know how frustrating/disappointing that can be. Feel better!

Truncated track workout, main set was supposed to be 5x800 at ~30 seconds faster than 5k pace, but I only did 3. I also did the warm-up for my planned 2400 yard swim, but called it a day without attempting the main set.

Yesterday was p90x2 total body.
Today was supposed to be yoga. It's funny how it's so much easier to convince myself not to get up at 4:40 in the morning to do yoga. I used to love yoga, and I feel so good when I do it.

i've been using minimal weight for about 4 weeks now working on good form to avoid injury... but it's starting to feel "too" easy so i think it's time to take it up a notch.

Two days ago: 60 minutes of hip-opening vinyasa with lots of tree/eagle/standing pigeon.
Yesterday: 60 minutes of hamstring-centric Hatha.
Today: A 60 minute twisty vinyasa video that I almost shut off 20 minutes in because I felt sore and not very strong from the other two days. But I turned it back on after a minute, and I'm really glad I finished it.

I usually do 45-60 minute NTC workout routines 3x-4x/week but I decided to do a 45 minutes of power yoga sequence today.
I still cannot get into crow pose. I have narrow hips so it's hard for me to squat although I was able to balance in crow for 0.1 of a second before falling out of it. I look forward and tried using a block for extra stability but I'm getting frustrated. Tips please? Thanks!
