Ahhh Crabby ice and elevate! Try to take care of it. It sucks so hard when such a tiny little nothing like a toe can totally debilitate us. Been there. Take it easy.

Seriously, it's a toe and I can't exercise properly!! Meanwhile, there is a guy out there with one leg doing plyo and totally bringing it! I'm going to do the 2 X-stretch exercises for this week today and tomorrow and Yoga-X the day after that. If I'm still out of commission, I'll do ab-ripper and some other non-toe (I am fine on the ball of my foot) exercises (exercycle, my step machine (thank you, freecycle!), Arms and Shoulders) for the rest of the week and will hopefully be better once my recovery week is over.

I hope Livi feels better soon!!

Thanks ladies! I just skipped most of the first part and then did most of the 2nd part. I meant to supplement that with 3 rounds of sun salutations the way my old yogi did them, but I totally spaced.

Okay, let me run this by you guys -- I was cleaning today and my toe knuckle clicked and now it feels 1000x better and I can walk without limping and I think I could even do cardio or some shiitake tomorrow. Do you think maybe it dislocated a little bit and then popped back into place? I can't bend my toes much because it hurts, but I can flex them and can stand on my tippy toes on both feet and it just feels stiff!! Hooray! I was worried I'd be out of commission for ages and now I'm much more optimistic.

My toe is still getting better. I buddy taped it to the toe next door and did Core Synergistics today. I modified a few exercises (plank to chataranga run turned into plank to chataranga ISO) and skipped two (Dreya rolls and one other that seemed too toe-intensive), but that was mostly just to be on the safe side and I did 2 of the 3 bonus exercises.

My SIL and her girlfriend (both vegans) stayed over last night and we had a vegan feast! Then SIL surprised me with these marzipan balls (I've never had marzipan before!!) and we ate more. I don't think I went overboard on calories until the marzipan appeared.

Also: my boobs are SO full of milk today. So much so, that they were smooshed and almost bursting out of my sports bra towards the end of core synergystics. I tend to make a lot of milk anyway, but today it is like as soon as Vax drains them, they are full again! (Possible side-effect of the vegan feast? Is marzipan a secret galactagogue? It *could* just be that I nursed Vax a lot last night because he was a bit fussy during the vegan feast.) :D

Wow go you! And a vegan feast + marzipan? Also awesome. And better too much than too little :D

Good job modifying! Your feast sounds great too.
Ugh I had a wedding last night, and for some reason I danced THE WHOLE TIME, which I never do, and I wore heels, which I never do. And I did a max workout this morning, and it was fine, but once I took my sneakers off omg, my ankle hurts SO MUCH! Ugh I hope it is better soon. Stupid heels!

Yeah, stupid heels!

I was all set for Kenpo tonight but then I got a horrible stomach ache. Tomorrow then.

I can barely walk in heels, let alone dance -- good on ya! Sorry about your ankle, though!

Kenpo today -- two weeks ago, I hated it and it was my least favourite, now I love it!!

appi hope you are feeling better today!

Ugh, my ankle hurts so much. Not like a sprain, but like the bones are crushing or something awful. I did Yoga X because I thought I shouldn't be jumping about in Insanity, but that was kind of dumb bc at least my heel would be supported by wearing sneakers! Ughh I hope it just heels on its own. I feel like I'm going to need a bionic foot when I'm older; my ankles suck.

Oh, man, sorry about your ankle! I pulled a tendon or muscle in my foot doing the P90X test (barefoot jumping jacks on a hard floor -- duh) and had to postpone starting for a week. Sorry about your elbow, too.

Today was day 28 and the end of my first phase of P90X. I can already see a pretty good difference from my before photos.

Randi I hope you'll be okay!!

Day 25 for me!

Also, Wesley is really driving me batshit during Kenpo. I start watching him and he's doing it all wrong.

I noticed that, too. That Tony guy's form is really tight, though.

OMG, first time doing Chest, Shoulders, and Triceps. They should change the title to Knees, Elbows, and Wrists because I was worried I was going to ruin them all before the 55 minutes were up. Not a big fan of this workout, but I really don't like push-ups, so go figure. Also, my DVD skipped through 5 minutes of the warm-up because of a tiny scratch it got when I first took it out of the package -- I immediately transferred them to different cases. I hate the ways the DVDs are packaged, it is like they are begging to be scratched and I have the pickiest DVD player ever.

Question about Insanity: does it have a lot of jumping in it? I watched some adverts for it on youtube and it seemed to be jumping the entire time. Every scene they showed involved jumping. Every.Single.Scene. Like it should be called Plynsanity or something. I've gotten to the point where I can finally do jumping jacks without peeing in my pants, but I'm not sure I could make it through 60 days of intense jumping DVDs. ;D

Ha, I like Knees, Elbows, and Wrists. This wasn't my favorite either. It seems like there was too much standing around time in this one as well.

Yes, Insanity has a lot of jumping. Get comfy with P90x plyo, IMO, before moving on to Insanity. Its a decent toe dip into plyometrics and will help prep you for Insanity.

If I get home from work at a decent hour I might do a little Insanity plyo cardio. Looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time :)

Yeah Insanity is all jumping, which is probably part of the reason my ankle is so bum right now. After doing Insanity for so long, Plyo X in P90X is like a warmup, so if you can do Plyo X pretty decently you'd be fine in Insanity. It's funny you mention the peeing in your pants, bc I often have to stop to pee during Insanity hahaha. Same issues!

So I couldn't stand not exercising for the past 5 days so today I tried a Jillian Michaels DVD and it was still too much strain on my ankle. It doesn't kill right now, but I should get an x-ray I guess. Ugh. I just want it to heal on its own!

I tried doing Core Cardio & Balance (I missed ShaunT) today, and for the most part I got through it! I couldn't do switch kicks; I felt some badness in my ankle, but otherwise it was fine! !!!!

OMG, my husband came in and asked me something while I was doing oblique v-ups. At that point, I was just trying to survive and my brain was mush and I was all, "RQQR? Bluuurp! Mlurm-mlurm. *gasp* *pant*"

RandiJM, I hope your ankle gets better. My toe is still being screwy, but still better than the first day.

Thanks for letting me know that Insanity is all jumping, everybody. I'm probably not going to do it -- at least not yet -- I have a friend who had one baby 12 years ago and still leaks pee during P90X plyo, so I'm not very hopeful about Insanity (I haven't done the P90X Plyo video because I'm doing P90X Lean and it's not in the schedule!) this close to just having a kid. I'm also terrible at jumping. I'll try the P90X plyo video after I'm done with P90X (and after my damn toe is better) and see how my bladder is holding up. :D

Oblique situps are no joke. I'd blatently ignore anyone who dared tried to talk to me during oblique situps. Or ARX in general for that matter.

I busted out Insanity yesterday and did Plyo Cardio. I forgot the second half trifecta of level 1 drills into ski abs into in and outs. Ouch. 'Twas not my best performance.

Crabby haha I laughed out loud at your response. Oblique v-ups are the worst. I did ARX on Monday after a really long time and I think I got through 12 of them.
And that's a good plan you thought out, to try Plyo X after you finish your lean program. Plyo X is serious, I think most people agree that it's the worst part of P90X, but you get better at it and then it's a perfect lead into Insanity if you wanna try it.
