Taking a bow to boat please don't let me puke on the carpet break. I thought I allowed enough time between breakfast and workout but UGH maybe not.

OMG, I did crane!!! For, like, 2-3 seconds, twice, and then got a cramp in mt right oblique, but I finally did it!!!

Also, baby Vax was on the floor next to me for the first 30 minutes of Yoga X and it made the time go by even faster.

WHERE MY DAWGS AT???

How's it been going?

I did my favorite, Pure Cardio, today, and even though I've heard it 100 times I'm still laughing at 'DON'T GO TOO FAR DOWN DON'T GO TOO FAR DOWN INSANITY.'

I made it to my second recovery week! And finally got around to taking progress photos (on day 45 instead of day 30...whoops). I'm so glad they encourage that because I feel like there isn't that much of a difference, but I looked at the photos and I definitely look more toned and a little thinner.

Yes, but not 3 in a row. I did one, got so excited when my chin hit the bar that I kind of leaked a little pee (I always try to do a chin-up on the way to that toilet, which is the only doorway I could install a chin-up bar in). Then I peed in the toilet. Then I did another chin-up. Then I screamed like a maniac, my kids came in the room, I tried to do another chin-up for them and failed, my husband came in and said I had to try to do another chin-up, and I did! No one was more surprised than I was! (I'd been doing do chair-assisted ones for the work-outs.)

that's amazing, even one at a time! i love that you specify the 2nd pee in the toilet :D

i've had a migraine a day for a week, but before it got too bad yesterday i did kenpo, and today is stretch x, so that should be fine.

Omigod. I'm at my bf's parents' house this week, and the only place I can exercise is on carpet. Have you guys tried to do Insanity on carpet? It is so much harder! It's not fun! I don't bounce as high! It's like running on the beach or something equally annoying that requires different muscles and exhausts your joints faster. I hate it!!! The worst part is actually butt kicks, because my sneakers are like kicking up the carpet. Ugh I'm getting close to doing it outside.

Hey Randi and Appi! It's been months since I logged on, and what do I find, but you two still going at it hard and beastly! So impressive.

I'm right there with ya. I've been doing a hybrid of BodyBeast and Insanity for a year now. I'm not sure quite what to do next. I swapped in a couple weeks of P90X back in July to mix things up, and it was humbling -- different muscles I guess but I had lost some of my capacity for pull-ups and push-ups. The cardio was easy peasy though after Insanity. I had to decide whether to stick with P90X and earn back my pull-ups or just feel better immediately by going back to what I was doing, so I did that.

I still have my friendly little band of fat that jiggles around around my waist. So frustrating! My wife says get lipo because I start looking really gaunt if I lose any more weight, but I don't like that idea. But the best news is I went up a size in shirts. The old ones are too tight now for my chest arms and shoulders. Ha ha! I'm a Beast!

Derek

Ahhh it's so good to hear from you DLD! Congrats on outgrowing your shirts! That's pretty awesome!
Please don't get lipo! That's kind of scary! Ah! I'm sure you are beasting it out like crazy and don't need to go to that level of extreme.
Hope we see you on here more! You were always a good motivator.

I think I'm going to try adding more P90X in because I still haven't done a pull-up (or worked those muscles in a long time) and I want to! But Insanity is so fun.
I stupidly slept in today and didn't have time to exercise, and tomorrow we have to leave at 8am so I have to get up sooo early to fit in something tomorrow! Darn.

During the past few days' max interval workouts, I've noticed that, about halfway through, my thighs are FREEZING. what the fizzle! I googled it and people on other forums were talking about how body parts with the most fat can get cold during strenuous exercise. But why wouldn't I have noticed this happening for years? Why now? So weird!!

Also, I still can't do the balance push-ups ahhh.

RandiJM, do you think it might be the weather? My toes get cold during Yoga-X sometimes now, even when I am sweating!

I only have 9 more days until I've finished P90X. I can't wait to do my 90-day progress photos, I feel like I look so much more athletic.

I can still do one or two chin-ups in a row, too (and still pee in my pants a little sometimes).

Ughhh I ran out of steam during the last round of power push-ups in max plyo today and came down hard on my knees. WORST. Luckily I just badly bruised them; it could have been so much worse eeek!
