Does anyones else do any of the Body Training classes? My gym runs Body Pump, Combat, Balance, Attack and Jam. I've done all of them except Attack because I'm too scared of it! I love all the ones I've tried, but got a bit bored of Jam after a while.
I did pump last night for the first time in a couple of months and I struggled so much throughout it! And today my whole body aches!
The triceps in the current release kill me - I hate dips!!

Last Thursday I finally went to the first Body Pump class since I had the baby six months ago. That was one week ago today, and I finally feel recovered enough to go back. It hurt so bad, but I missed it so much!

I've been doing body pump for awhile. I find the most recent release to have really difficult chest and easier than usual shoulders and abs.

I always look through the door when they're doing attack and I honestly don't think I'm fit enough for it. It looks so hard! Maybe one day I'll get up the balls to go!
I'm doing combat on Thursday though, so no doubt that will kill me, as I haven't been for ages!

My gym had a launch party for Body Pump release 77 this morning - holy hell! It's brutal.

ooh I don't think they've got the new release at my gym yet. I haven't been to pump in a while so I know it's going to hurt next time I go.
I just canceled my gym membership as I'm moving, so hopefuly the next gym I join does body pump, it's my favourite class.

It's definitely my favourite class, too! There are a ton of 'lower halves' in this release - squats, chest press, bicep curls... and the lunge track is just insanity. I hope your next gym has Body Pump!

I went to my first Pump class on Thursday. On the whole I enjoyed it. I've been doing deadlifts with a 25kg for a few weeks so I felt I wasn't lifting enough weight, but by golly today some muscles in my right arm hurt! I suppose I must have done something a bit funny and pulled it.
I wasn't keen on my instructor, she kept saying things like 'Smile because if you smile it'll hurt less. And if you believe that you're even stupider than I thought you were.' so I think I'll go to the Wednesday class led by a different instructor in future.

I'm really lucky because my sister is the instructor where I go, so she's awesome and we have a lot of fun.

And I love Body Pump and Body Combat (but mostly BP)! They are really good programs.

I'm excited, I just joined a gym near my work (Virgin health club - it's jolly swanky!!) and they do pump and combat. I'm looking forward to getting back into it, but not the pain my arse and shoulders will be in for days afterwards!

My gym does all les mills classes. My favorite is body flow/balance. I try to go in the morning after work to unwind. The only problem I find with this program is that there is only a new release every 3 months..so routines get old

I did body pump last night, haven't been in a while so was expecting to be super sore all over today but it's actually not so bad.
This current release... how much does the lunge track suck??!! A LOT! The shoulder track also sucks but I always hate that one. (I think he said it's release 82).

I do body pump a 2-3 times a week, for the last couple of years (or whenever they started at 24hour fitness). I like it! I like my instructors...they are chatty and it keeps my mind of the burning pain in my muscles haha. BP has taught me a lot about weightlifiting. I have had great instructors that walk around the class and check your form and stuff. Now when I DONT do BP, I do similar exercises, but with more weights and less reps, and I know I am doing them correctly.
The gyms in my area offer the other Les Mills classes, but only at the super-sport locations and higher. I go to the cheaper ones. Maybe soon they will start doing them at the locations I can afford to go to.
But wow, body pump is so popular, sometimes I have to get to the gym like and HOUR in advance to get into the class. Especially those Sunday morning classes, those are hellla busy. I mean, it's ok, I can do cardio but it is annoying to show up for a class and its full.

Your gym must be crazy but our Zumba classes are somewhat like that.
My gym doesn't offer body pump but it offers a few weights classes and one of them, I'm sure is meant to copy body pump without calling it body pump.
I haven't fit in any of those classes though because I'm leaving my weights for the gym floor and do cardio classes as cardio bores me more.

Yeah I can't get into Zumba at my gym, but I'm not a huge fan of that class anyway.
I have to book pump in advance, there's never spaces if you just show up. And you have to get there about 20 minutes early to get a decent spot.

Our classes are generally back to back so you just have to be there when the previous class ends. Our gym doesn't do sign ups for classes though. Last night, our kickboxing class had 60 people, it was insane. They just did a member drive which I think is a huge part of it.

The new releases are out in 2 weeks so my instructor for pump is doing random ones that she likes. She did the most evil bicep track, I seriously couldn't do it - it hurt so much. And lunges done on the step - ouchie!

I went back to Body Combat last week after months of not going as I've been taking advantage of the good weather & being able to run outside & exercise more spontaneously rather than book for a class. I REALLY enjoyed it. I love that class & our instructor is awesome. I went to go to body balance but luckily saw it was the terrible instructor (rather than my usual, great one) & managed to leave before she saw me.
