Alright stress of a lot of big projects is over and I've been doing C25K again and should be able to do it continuously for awhile. I started week 2 yesterday and did really well! Yay running!

I had to restart week 5 this week as I only managed to get to the gym once last week But today I did day 3 - 20 minutes of running without stopping and I DID IT I DID IT!!!
I'm so happy, I never thought I'd be able to run for 20 minutes without stopping.

I know everyone says this but believe me if I can do it, anyone can!! I truly am the most unfit bugger I know!! :-) and probably the slowest run, but hey - baby steps!
I prepaid my race for life entry for next year, which means I will be able to sign up before the dates go on general release. Not that it really matters but I wanted to do it now to give myself motivation to carry on and finish C25K!

Nice one, baps. I love how during the walking bits, when I'm red faced and sweaty, passers-by are like "why's she so sweaty, she's just walking". Finished week one. Feels good -- I totally recommend Chubby Jones' podcasts, by the way. Am looking forward to week two just so I can hear her selection of tunes again.

I am starting week 1 day 1 today! I had gotten up to week 2 before, but then fell on the ice and sprained my ankle. This time I'm starting before there is ice on the ground! :) I can't imagine running for 20 min straight, but I believe that if that is ever going to happen it will be because of this program! It seems to really be the best way.

Yay baps! I had the exact same situation and reaction. I am so excited just like you are to be able to get to that 20 minutes.

I started with couch to 5K as a terrible runner and now my long runs are over 8 miles, so it totally works! And then you can do bridge to 10k and it will be awesome!

I just finished Week 6 day 2, so on Tuesday I'll tackle the 25 minutes with no breaks!

I start week 8 tonight, 28 mins!
The only thing is, I'm running the time, but not the distance. It says on the print out I should have been running 2.5miles in that 25 minutes but I'm only running about 1.9 according to the treadmill - I'm a slow runner!
So even when I finish week 9, I won't be running 5k!! I'll have to work up to that once I'm done with the programme. At the moment it would take me about 40 minutes, until I get better and speed up.
But for once, I believe I'll get there!

Glad to hear it's going well for you all!
I'm thinking of doing this. I started running last spring and stopped about a month in because my knees began to hurt all the time, however I didn't do the small steps that the Couch to 5K does. So I am hoping that if I ease my body into running, hopefully I can make it through.

So I am not actually doing Couch to 5k (though I am doing intervals of running and walking to get started), but as pretty much everyone in my life who I have told, best friends' and mom, are being quite unsupportive of me, I am coming here :P haha.
Anyway, I did my first run tonight after literally not having run in years. I had planned on just doing a mile (.25 mile intervals, walking 30 seconds in between), but I felt super awesome after the first mile, so I ended up doing 1.75 miles running, 2.5 miles total with warm up/cool down and walking in between. I feel like I might regret the decision to run longer in the morning, but I did it! I'm signed up for a half in May, but I'm working my way up to a 5k first before I start the half training schedule.

I did week 1 day 2 yesterday & it definitely felt easier than day 1 did! I'm excited to do day 3 tomorrow.

I start week 3 today. I am feeling anxious reading about running 20 minutes anytime soon! But I have to trust the program and remember that no one is going to "make" me do it. I will give it my best and hopefully it will be as awesome for me as it has been for others!

masuphl - I took a long time to get from week 3 to week 6 - at least twice as long as the program says, because I repeated days until I felt more comfortable. But by the time you get there (I'm repeating week 6 a few times now) you'll feel totally confident.
