Can you name some recipes that you have successfully gluten-freed? Like from some popular blogs or vegan recipe books. For example, I'd love to get Vegan Cupcakes or Vegan Cookies but not sure how they work out with gluten-free flour. Thank you!

And you can easily add other flavours to them so you don't just have to make vanilla or chocolate. From VCIYCJ I have made the PB Oatmeal cookies but I used quinoa flakes instead of oats and I used brown rice, tapioca & potato flour. I also made the Tahini Lime cookies with the same flours as well as the Citrus Glitters. Dreena Burton's choc chip cookies always work gluten free as do the PPK Gingerbread cookies (in the recipe section of the homepage).

I made the VwaV Best Pumpkin Muffins GF, but I used a packaged GF flour mix that's probably not available in the US. I've also done the same with VwaV Lemon Gem cupcakes and Sweet Potato Blondies from VCIYCJ. Probably some other stuff as well, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Last night I made the pumpkin cupcakes from VCTOTW (minus the chocolate chips).
I used Isa's gluten frida mix with one sub - I subbed sorghum flour for half of the quinoa flour.
Frosted them with vegan cinnamon cream cheez frosting. They're the bomb!
PS - also baked them about an extra 5 minutes. They were gooey after the recipe recommended 25 min.

on the old boards, someone posted a recipe for gluten-free Chickpea Cutlets that worked great for me! I wonder if it's still kicking around somewhere.
I would like to convert the Pot Pie Stew in AFR, I don't think it would be too difficult...

I've made all of the muffins from VWAV and Vegan Brunch GF with Bob's Red Mill GF mix. I was too lazy to make my own mix, but they all worked with that. I've also made several of the cupcakes from VCTOTW with Bob's Red Mill, as well as a few of the cookies from VCTOYCJ. I haven't tried de-glutenizing recipes from most other books, since those are the baked goodies I make most.

I don't have the subs in front of me, but if you want any of them, let me know.

I made the Isa Pizza from VWAV with Bob's Red Mill GF Pizza Crust mix instead of Isa's dough recipe and it still came out delicious. Some people don't like the Bob's Red Mill crust (its thin and cracker-y) but I loved it.

this weekend i took the VWAV ginger-macadamia-coconut-carrot cake and made it gluten-free. 'twas AMAZING! my family was visiting for my sister's birthday and no one believed it was gluten-free & vegan. so yum!
i used a mixture of chickpea flour, potato starch, and tapioca starch for my flours (5:3:2 ratio), 1/2 tsp xanthan gum, used 2 tsp baking soda, upped the oil in the recipe to 3/4 cup and added in 1/3 cup crushed pineapple. baked mine for 37 minutes and let it sit in the cake pans for 15 minutes before removing the cake.

Last night I made AFR cheezy sauce and replaced the flour with brown rice flour. Worked great. I'm sure any GF flour would do the trick, or even cornstarch or arrowroot powder.

Anyone tried replacing the spelt flour in the Fruity Oaty Bars recipe in Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar? I'd love to try them but I've never used spelt flour so I have no idea what a good GF substitute would be

Try deearess' gf chickpea cutlets, they are the best!

I'd be wary of using garbanzo flour, because it can sometimes have a weird metallic taste. I never use it in anything except baked goods (the odd flavor seems to magically disappear in the oven).

I just made AFR's Herb-Roasted Cauliflower using cornmeal in place of bread crumbs (GF bread crumbs are a bit pricier). It was yummy.

Thanks for the reminder I used this mix which I don't really find to be completely all purpose, but works great in muffins that have other things to help w/bulk and texture. http://veg-am.blogspot.com/2008/12/all-purpose-gf-flour_06.html So, out of what you have I would go with either the ap mix (which I've never used btw) or a mixture of brown rice/sorghum w a bit of xanthan
