Hey all,

I am headed to New Orleans later this week... any ideas for xgfx dining? I have never been to New Orleans before, but it looks like this is going to be hard! I have found a few vegan places, a few places that have gf menus, but none that combine both :( Anyone have any suggestions, or even a good ole southern xgfx dish I could ask for?

I am back from my New Orleans trip, and I just wanted to share an amazing place for xgfx food! Every Sunday, there is a wonderful vegan brunch at Grits bar called "O! Vegasm". Most of the food is already gluten free, and if you contact them ahead of time they will make sure they have a gluten free meal lined up for you. For $15 you get two dishes, which is basically two whole meals! I ended up having the leftovers for dinner, it was so much food! The menu is different every week, but they post if ahead of time on the O! Vegasm facebook page. It is a little bit of a trek from the French Quarter (if that is where you are staying), but there is a city bus that can take you to within a few blocks.

Go and eat there! I highly recommend it, and they are so nice :)

We'll be off to New Orleans next week and we want to try their vegan brunch. Although, i heard some bad feedback about Grits bar but we still want to try, we're after the food anyway.
I wonder if they also serve xgfx cookies & cakes for dessert. Anyone knows?
