I've now eaten quinoa twice. The first time I woke up the next morning with a violent rash all over the trunk of my body. Not convinced it was the quinoa, I tried again yesterday and woke this morning with the same rash. I didn't rinse the quinoa because the Ancient Harvest box said it was pre-rinsed. Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm searching for wheat alternatives and this is discouraging.

When I first started eating quinoa, I didn't know you were supposed to rinse it...! It tasted awful, but I never got a rash so I don't think not rinsing it would be the cause, but I could be wrong. Quinoa allergies do exist though.

Even the "pre-rinsed" quinoa still needs rinsed before you cook it. I don't know if I'd want to chance it again, though, if I was you...that rash sounds rough! I hope it goes away quick!
