Why am I torturing myself by reading the "best tasting things"thread?

Because you want, someday, to be able to recreate them without the gluten!

if you're tolerant to wheatsies sharing the same belt Sami's makes a flax and millet bread that's seriously super good. we keep it in the fridge and it's yummier toasted, but it's really great (the bagels are gf&v too): http://samisbakery.com/our-products/millet-flax/ (we order a bunch online).

Kiddo, i'm a bit obsessive when it comes to the pantry, but i used to have a chart that kinda took stock of what i had in the house and what i needed. it was pretty darn helpful. these days i order a lot of the gluten-free flours on amazon and they're usually a box of 2-4 bags of gluten-free flours so i usually have a bunch on hand. i totally hear ya on your frustrations though - i'm sorry!

We also love this bread! I haven't yet bought it in bulk because I put a few loaves in my online cart, and then the shipping cost comes up and sucker punches me in the gut :/ I don't know why Whole Foods won't carry them! They don't sell one single vegan and gluten free bread item in several of their stores in Massachusetts. What the heck?? I can't be the only one to ask them to?

My frustration is how many people think that because being gluten free is trendy, my allergy is obviously made up.

Yes! I struggled for so long convincing people of the seriousness of my veganism, that adding gluten-free seems like a self-destructing tag-line!
