Not the world's best picture, but I made this with my sister and sarahpea for pea's birthday in April. It's chocolate stout cake, sour cherries with a bit of rum, chocolate pudding and healthy top. i used the recipe from Vegan Diner, but I use regular soy milk instead of chocolate soy milk.

thaaaanks guys! i really want this again right now. the best part was the crumbs on the stout cupcakes! i probably wouldn't normally make cupcakes with crumb tops just to be crumbled up in a trifle, but i had made the cupcakes the night before for a birthday party, so it worked out perfectly.

My Japanese husband just had his first trifle experience a couple of months ago and I'm thinking this will make him very happy! I just made those chocolate stout cupcakes a few days ago but obviously (obviously!) they all got eaten. Will definitely have to do this next time!
