I got back from a big Disney trip yesterday! We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge and I tried to take pics of every meal. All xgfx. Not pictured includes 3 meals of chips with guac from Mexico in Epcot. Almost all awesome. Sci Fi's mango marinated tofu: Jiko's dessert - rice dream + fruit: Kona - waffles and fruit: Sana'a dessert - sorbet trio - from left to right: pineapple sorbet with red wine soaked mango, mango sorbet with mango sauce and mangoes and an herb of some kind, and raspberry mint sorbet with raspberry sauce and raspberries: Sana'a - spicy cauliflower, basmati rice, chickpeas with veggies: Sana'a bread course - pappadums for me, naan for the rest, lots of sauces: Sana'a dessert menu: Sana'a VEGAN menu: Room service tofutti enjoying the view: Room service meal - not really sure what it was because they made me something and delivered without specifics - super yums. Cosmic Ray's - veggie wrap in an ener-g bun, cookies, fries. Raglan Road made me pasta from scratch. It was amazing. Waffles from The Mara at AKL - Chef Jenny added grilled veggies because she liked me :D Pizza Planet! ESPN Zone veggie sandwich on an xgfx bun: Whispering Canyon - edamame succotash and red quinoa cakes. Also awesome. Askerhus - the chef was mystified but made me this awesome plate of grilled veggies. Super yums. Worst meal - Rainforest Cafe - chopped salad without chicken and cheese - ate less than 1/3. The Land - sesame tofu. Yummy! 1900 Park Fare - waffles, sad scramble (but still yummy) with cheese. Jiko - curried veggies. Yummy. Jiko's vegan menu with the gluten items crossed off. Cinderella's Royal Table - fruit salad and van's waffles. Oh well. Good enough! Planet Hollywood - fajita veggies with corn chips (no corn tortillas) and basmati rice. Unpictured, awesome strawberry daiquiri.

Also, I learned towards the end just to ask people. In the quick serve places I could usually spot a manager and I'd tell them I'm a vegan allergic to gluten (I think the allergy was key to being helpful because I think Disney is super worried about allergies) and they would whip out their binders of nutrition info and hook me up. My biggest sadness was that most places only had fruit to give me, and I don't like cantaloupe or honey dew so that left me without much, and we were on the dining plan.

I find that using the "allergy" card really gets a restaurant's attention. Although it may be deceptive, I usually get what I want. I used it recently at a Greek restaurant in NC.

I had *no idea* there were that many vegan selections at Disney World. It almost makes me want to go. Almost.

Also important - some people don't seem to know what they have! I asked room service if they had vegan ice cream and she didn't think so but she checked and they had the tofutti and the rice dream!
Oh and I had 2 huge bowls of tofutti from the ice cream parlor on main street. Also, the quick serve waffles weren't quite as good as the sit down places, but they were still all awesome.
Chef TJ worked the evening shift on the morning I was at Park Fare - sadness.

Looks like you got a lot of great stuff! Disney is really good about special diets overall. When I lived/worked there I ate all over property and rarely went someplace I couldn't find something.
Your meal at Cinderella's made me laugh in a sad way. I knew they weren't going to cook you anything. The chefs there have no imagination. But even their omni pastries are frozen and reheated, so you didn't miss out on anything there with the frozen waffles.

Also, Sci-Fi made me their cosmic monkey which is a chocolate shake + booze and they used tofutti and silk! It wasn't worth the $10.50 though. Kelly, hurray!

Shae wants to know if the epsn veggie sandwich were "just crappy veggies" or good ones, whatever that means. (I think I told him they had boring food as an excuse to eat somewhere better, last time)
Did you end up finding key lime pie?

Did you end up finding key lime pie? I only remember zucchini! Supposedly there was hummus on it but I didn't taste it, but those ener-g buns are pretty dry so it probably soaked it up. The husband and stepson loved it there - there are TVs in the bathroom! Raphsodic said they'd make me a key lime pie but the yelp reviews were so mixed that I decided not to risk it this time.

I hate those ener-g buns. I'm FOR SURE not telling shae about tvs in the bathroom, etc. I'm sad that you got such a crappy meal at rainforest. I had a really yummy pasta/veggie and the boys had wraps that they declared best ever. We must've just gotten lucky with the chef.

This is amazing. I never would have imagined Disney World could be so vegan friendly.

Welcome home! This really is surprising array of foodstuffs. Almost makes me want to go, but you have to take a kid, right? I don't wanna be thrown in the Disney pedo-jail.

Everything looks yum. I am jealous.
Is that a vegan cheese pizza from Pizza Planet? (I worked there for a semester in college and vegans were relegated to the veggie pizza, no cheese. I'm glad that Disney continues to expand their vegan options.)
