Ok. House hunting is stressful. Especially in a college town, where everything is generally so cheap and run down and depressing. We almost gave up, and were filling out applications for an alright single family home that we had viewed, but didn't love, when we came across a Craigslist posting of the house of our dreams, in our favorite neighborhood. boring story even more boring, we contacted them, viewed it, it was better than we thought (we can garden in the front and backyard, and there is a gigantic closet specifically to keep our bikes in), and it's ours! We move in mid-August. We are psyched. To celebrate I made these muffins (and also because I have a ridiculous amount of blueberries in the fridge). So much easier than cupcakes!

*Note, I am not standing in the dream house kitchen in the above photo. My future home's kitchen has wrap around counters topped with handmade (by our landlords!) ceramic tiles.

Thank you! On day 3 these muffins are very moist like cupcakes. I'm not complaining.
I'll do a photo house tour once I move! I want to plant some hydrangeas. I'm mostly excited because our landlord neighbors have a giant fig tree, 2 plum trees, and a pear tree and we can take all we like. Free figs!

UPDATE! We're moved in. And here are a few pictures.  The bathroom!  The living room with hardly a thing in it! And, my favorite:  The kitchen! With a gigantic counter. And a boyfriend drawing a layout of the house to determine what size and how many curtain rods/curtains we need. Also, Austin hung some of those outdoor screens on the outside of our house to keep the sun out of our curtainless windows.  More kitchen:  And some waffle making (this is not a euphemism).   And one bedroom, as the other is full of the boxes:  I'm so excited. We still have a ton of work to do but we just got the internet here after a week without, and things are coming together.
