Our daughter has become obsessed with Doctor Who... Old Bay Tofu Sticks with Tartare Sauce (or as it's know around here Tardis sauce) -- but it should have been pudding, I know...

...as well as the Avengers -- so for her birthday party with her friends last week, we made Shawarma. Best parents ever or what? ;)

clockwise from left: Red Onion, Pickled Turnips, Baba Ghanoush, Hummus, Lettuce, Yogurt Sauce, Pita Bread, Cucumbers, Hickory-Smoked Shredded Tofu and in the center, Tomatoes

Shawarma up close, stuffed in a pita

Tofu & Tomato Stew with Stuffed Bhindi and Gobi Paratha (w/recipes)

Raised Waffles (from Vegan Brunch) with Cherries

Basic Black Bean BBQ Burger (from "The Best Veggie Burgers On The Planet") with Sweet Potato Fries and Sweet Corn

These looked interesting on the cutting board, so I took the picture...

Cubanelle, Poblano and Red Bell Pepper Seeds (for making rajas that night)

and finally, the best thing we ate all month...

Tea-Smoked Tofu and Shiitake Mushrooms with Coconut Curry and Collard Greens, Noodle Cakes, Sake & Miso Glazed Eggplant

Beautiful photos & everything looks so darn delicious! The tea-smoked tofu & peach crumble look particularly yummy, but hell, I'll take it all!

The chevre was outstanding with the herbes de provence coating -- just give it a few hours to absorb the flavors.

The brie benefited from an extra day to cure/firm up and was paired with a fig jam on crackers.

We got the cabbage plates/bowls (made by Pinheiro) as a wedding gift 20 years ago. There were some newer versions that popped up about 6 or 7 years ago that looked the same (we bought them as replacements because we use them as our everyday dishes), but we haven't seen them in stores in a long time...

here's the full rundown: http://www.replacements.com/webquote/BP ... tm#6510421
