 Post subject: Cornmeal crust pizza week!

One week, two cornmeal crust pizzas. I used the Martha Stewart dough recipe here: http://www.marthastewart.com/313030/cor ... izza-crust Best cornmeal crust I've tried yet!

Both pies have red wine red sauce, tofu miso ricotta, alder-smoked cherry tomatoes, pickled yellow hot peppers from early fall's farmers markets, chopped kale, etc. One pie has Upton's Italian seitan crumbles and another has smokey soy curls (which yeah, were also smoked with apple chips because I can't stop) and shredded muenster (adapted from AVC).

i feel kinda stupid for never thinking to put soy curls on pizza. apple chip smoked curls sound divine & your cornmeal crust pizzas both sound (and look) scrumtrulescent!

Looks great.

Did you cook these at the 500º the recipe said to use? My smoke alarms go off if I have the oven on just 400 and I can't see doing anything at 500!

Nah, 450F - but my oven isn't that great and I like things pretty well cooked anyway : )
