First visit to Caravan of Dreams last night.
Had a great meal -- food was delicious, the place had a nice vibe and atmosphere. The service....well, let's just say that I shall be making a post in the 'bad service in veg restaurants' thread (I'll be talking about you, slow dude)

first up the (raw) squash manicotti

Image
this was absolutely delish and the best part of the meal

tempeh reuben
Image
the boy said this was very good but that my homemade version is much better (thanks VWAV!!)

the paella
Image
had a wonderful spice to it and fresh crisp veggies. really good

I very rarely eat dessert but when there is vegan carrot cake on the menu, I must

had a great time and will def be back soon

That all looks heavenly, but the manicotti in particular is catching my greedy eye!

That all looks soooo edible. Which I guess is the idea. But still!

I so want that manicotti! It looks out of this world. The paella also looks quite tempting, and the carrot cake looks really good too!

Tempeh reuben: the sandwich of our people.

I haven't been there in forever. A lot of my friends don't seem to like it, but I've always enjoyed the things that I've put in my mouth there.

I loved the seitan taquitos there until there was a live bug in my take out.

We had brunch there on our NYC honeymoon, and it was probably my favorite meal all week. Jealous!

Haven't been there in years. Was one of the first restaurants I visited when I moved to NYC 15 years ago!

Bumping because we had dinner there the other night and it was great! I really liked the space, the atmosphere, and the live music, and the service was friendly, helpful, and fast. Most importantly, the food was super good. We shared the bruschetta, and then I had the wild rice and mushroom croquettes, and my partner had a special of spinach ravioli (although we actually shared the entrees, too). Everything was delicious, and the only reason we didn't have dessert was that we were A. too full, and B. had to meet friends for drinks at the Gin Palace a coupe of blocks away. I've already recommended it to friends, and will definitely go back.
