I absolutely hate hotdogs (taste, smell, appearance, texture) and always have, but those look great and not the slimy pink wieners of my nightmares! And thank you so much for linking to that thread - I now have a print out of all the spice combos and will have to start working my way through them! Maybe I'll even try the hot dogs... :)

if you really hate hotdogs you honestly may not like the hotdog variation. i really felt it was a quite good representation of how a hotdog should taste, but you know, better and stuff since it's vegan ;)

i've done a couple of the other variations that vegimator shared and they are awesome so i know you'll have fun working through the list.

Hehe, thanks. If I do try them and don't like them, I have a hungry hungry husband who will quite happily finish them off. He loves the wiener.

Nom Nom nom! We have some field roast dogs in the fridge, but should really make our own.

the old store bought "hot dogs" i've had have been the tofurkey brand, many years ago, they were awful in flavor and texture and made me really gassy afterwards. the homemade ones, man, a zillion times better! and no gas!
