You can put it on toast or a nice chunk of crusty bread.

My package from ladyofchaos came today!

Packets of herbs/seasonings, Manner biscuits, spreads (shiitake, leek, horseradish and green peppercorn), three (3!) packages of karamellgebäck, a little crocheted hedgehog and a dark chocolate bar. (Not pictured: the olive spread I immediately opened and ate for lunch.) Thank you, ladyofchaos!

How good is that chocolate spread! Told you it would change your life!
I'm glad it arrived safely. :) You have to read the frankie article on meat substitution options, it will make you laugh.

I wish I'd thought to take pictures of the one I got from Maggie_Muggins (don't know if that's her username anymore, eep), but I was too busy stuffing myself with fuzzy peach candy and peanut butter filled pretzels to take any photos!!

I forgot to take a photo. I got mine from Kinney right in the board transition. It was full of lots of chocolatey goodness,
most of which I already ate! And cocoa nibs that I haven't decided what to do with yet. Cookies, of course...

Thanks Kinney!

Check out my package from holylopez (her former ppk name, not sure if it's changed)! Sorry about the lighting. I took the photo as soon as I got it; couldn't wait for better light before opening up the biscuits and some chocolate and devouring them both.

Included were some of my very favorite sweets ever: Lotus speculoos biscuits (x2), mocha pudding cups, chocoreale spread, salted dark chocolate, white (!) chocolate, hazelnut nougat candy bar, peach and sour gummies, raspberry coconut chocolate truffles, a cool postcard, and a secret society of vegans sticker! Cool beans all around! I'm in a sweet-toothed vegan heaven!

I received this absolutely awesome package today - the second one from Little Rain.

Image

Mint chocolate fudge cookies, Oreos (UK ones aren't vegan), 2 types of Liquid Smoke, hot sauce, Primal Strips, apple pie, Clif bar, Not Chik'n bouillon, cake sprinkles, pomegranate licorice, instant gravy mix, lime and salt peanuts, gummy bears, jalapeno powder and several packs of Mexican seasonings.

There are very few mint chocolate cookies left.

Thank you very much! :)

Ok wow, I soo want to be part of a package swap in the future (when my finances will permit that, however...). This is fascinating!
How does it work?

If you're a fairly regular poster you can participate in a swap. You say that you're up for it, what you'd really like to get your hands on, what you can get from your area and whether you'd be willing to swap with an overseas partner and then you go shopping for your goodies!
This was my first one! I think I'd only do it once a year because shipping to anywhere from Australia is expensive but it was definitely worth it for a treat. I think there are a couple a year.

Badgermog is the greatest! He had to go to the extra effort of staying away from all things soy and gluten and he still rocked it!

Look at this beautiful stuff:
Image
Bombay snack mix, an Indian 5 spice mix, potato/seaweed snack, caramel peanuts, apple crisps, black chai tea, and a peruvian chile spread.

And that was just the beginning.
Look at all these bars:
Image
A box of Rice/toffee/hazelnut bars, a variety of nak'd raw fruit and nut bars, a pineapple coconut Pack Tunch bar, a rice milk WHITE chocolate bar!, a hazelnut nougat bar covered in dark chocolate and 3 different flavors of chocolate bar. I can hardly fine plain ol' dark chocolate without soy and he found THREE flavors! Orange chocolate with cranberry, no sugar added dark chocolate mint and dark chocolate with white chocolate mint.

ETA: I'm also jealous of his neat penmanship.
