Okay okay, first I'll give you the much-expected Thanksgiving noms. Since I'm away at school most of the time (and thus don't know exactly how the kitchen is equipped back home), I decided to play it safe and buy a Tofurky. Really, what I want to make is some sort of tasty baked tofu. Next year, perhaps?
Ze spread.

Tofurky.

Vegified version of an Ina Garten recipe: apple walnut stuffing with mushrooms and reconstituted Craisins (I shiitake you not--this was the best part).

My plate, which includes the Tofurky, stuffing, cornbread (needed SO much more leavening than the recipe suggested), navy bean gravy from VB, cinnamon carrots with caramelized onions, red taters with herbs, and simple corn.

Apple crumble pie with homemade pastry crust. Don't look purdy, but it sure tastes the part.

Then I took my boy to Chicago Diner for a small lunch. We shared a PB cookie dough milkshake, and it was quite possibly the highlight of my trip back home. Yes, I am that sad.

Mozzarella Teese sticks. I heartily approve!

Aaaand a simple side order of scrambled tofu, just to give my boy a taste of it for the first time.

Vegan cupcakes from Molly's.

Mushroom Daiya mozz pizza. We didn't have any other fresh veggies lying around, but at least we had fresh herbs!

Masala dosai from Mysore Woodlands. We didn't have enough moolah for a proper Indian spread. Next time!

And a shot I decided to take at the last minute of my remaining Go Max Go candy bars (Twilight and Jokerz). I enjoyed these, but I don't think I'd eat them very often. It made me feel so naughty. However, I reeeeally want to try making my own chocolate goodies now.
