Had my first Korean food ever last night courtesy of Sura Korean BBQ in Long Beach

Vegetable Bibimap served with yummy little side dishes (burdock root, broccoli with spicy bbq sauce, pickled daikon and carrots, kimchi, cooked potatoes, The burdock root was so good, I see that at the store all the time and wonder what its for, now I know.

And a kimchi tofu soup. Yes I ate 2 entrees for dinner. Its vegan so its totally ok.

Yum overload! Banchan (all those little side dishes) are one of the best things about Korean food.

omg that is beautiful. we just had ddoekbokki last night, god i love korean food.

burdock is really delish and not hard to work with, just peel it, chop it into smaller pieces, and soak in cold or salt water first, then cut it into slivers or whatever you`re going to do with it.
