These are from the month I mostly cooked from this book.

Not that many recipes tempt me at first glance in this book, but almost everything I tried was delicious beyond expectations.

Queso - a very fat but very creamy version:

Pestotatoes:

Traditional "egg" salad. My favorite "egg" salad by far.

Tofu crème brûlée:

Smoked potatoes - I gobbled them down:

Butternut-lentil spread:

Butternut pasta bake:

Macadamia brie. Not similar to brie, but a must-try. The flavor is slightly sweet, so I loved it on crackers. It made me thing of fancy cheese with fancy jelly.

Speculoos cookies. These are tender rather than crisp, and I would use smaller amounts of spices:

Amaretti cookies. I'm so glad to have a good recipe for them:

I have this book but almost never look at it. I should mark some recipes to try, yours look really good!

The pestotatoes are a really good idea, in particular.

Wow! Someone lent me this book and I've yet to make anything from it, but that all looks great.

That's a lot of recipe-testing. The macadamia brie and egg salad sound particularly interesting... How was the tofu crème brûlée?

I loved the taste and the caramel was real crispy. But it was a beige colour because of the vanilla powder (which I don't mind) and also slightly liquid (it would remain firmer by using a torch rather than the oven).
