Last month, I went to Washington, D.C. for the day and found Sticky Fingers Bakery on Park Rd. after doing a vegan food search on my phone. I am sooooooo glad I did. I apologize for some of the pics, I have been taking pictures with my phone exclusively lately because I am in between cameras right now :) but trust me, as awesome as you can imagine it looks, is only half as good as it all tasted. I really enjoyed it and if you have a chance to swing through while in D.C., do so.




The cookie side of the display case, with title sticky cinammon buns at the bottom. I couldn't have them because of my tree nut allergy :( but oh my did I have other things.

My pumpkin whoopie, which was supposed to be dessert, but ended up being my appetizer while waiting for my sandwich.


Tuna melt sandwich with Daiya, tempeh bacon, and tomato. So yummy


Cupcakes that I brought home for Z. Tiramisu, red velvet, and chocolate cookies and cream. I waited to takes pics of them until I got home so as not to draw more attention to myself in the bakery.


Sticky Fingers Oatmeal Pie, the texture is really unique, it's sort of cakey/cookie-ey, but so good. You don't want to eat an entire one because you know it's bad to do so, but you don't want to stop.

it all looks so good, we will be visiting friends in DC over Christmas, i wonder if i can get them to make a trip there?

Oh man, could I go for one of their scones. So buttery and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! I think they only have one kind (cranberry something?) but it is GOOD.

I love Sticky Fingers! Their grilled cheeses are so junky and good, and the cupcakes are so rich. We couchsurfed with a guy who lived down the road from there, and we bought him a heap of peanut butter chocolate cupcakes as thanks. None of us could move for about an hour after eating them.

Wow.. awesome... everything looks so good. Isn't it bizarre and wonderful to be able to eat everything in a restaurant/bakery?

I'm sad that when I was in DC I didn't get to go!



Maybe when I come back we'll win the lotto and open our own place! P'mouth needs a cute "allergen friendly" bakery :D

melomeals, you are so right. I felt crazy asking for a tuna melt. I actually told the clerk how strange it felt not having said that exact statement for years. I didn't have to order a veggie version of anything, it was like a party just for me. It was so wonderful and an experience that I hardly ever get to have living in my part of VA, so I loved it.
