"Soeur Leila's Red Lentil Stew", egyptian recipe. It's got vermicelli noodles in it. Very yummy with fried pita bread!

Yay, I'm so glad your cake balls worked! They look amazing- way better than mine. It's inspired me to make them again.

The lentil soup looks delish! I think I'm going to make this some time. Did you use like the Asian rice vermicelli or is Italian pasta?

It's pretty much this:

1. Bake cake. Cool. Crumble thoroughly into a large bowl.

2. Get a can of frosting or make your own and use about 6 heaping tablespoons (or more). Add it to the cake crumbles. Mush cake crumbs and frosting with hands to create a dense mixture. The frosting is used as a binder to help it stick together. Shape into compact balls.

3. Freeze balls for a while.

4. Melt a hunk or two of dark chocolate in a double boiler. Dip balls in chocolate and let rest on wax paper until they harden.

Your food always looks so delicious. I know the kidney bean/mushroom curry is in high rotation here since it's so easy to put together and so tasty.

I'll take a large bowl of your stew, and I'm going to need 3 of those cake balls with a cup of black coffee, please. Thanks.
