Had some super yummy food in DC last weekend.

HipCityVeg cripsy hipcity ranch chick'n sandwich

this was phenomenal

frozen banana whip for dessert

also fantastic

Spacebar (technically Falls Church)
grilled cheese with bbq chick'n

damn this was good, but I was slightly annoyed with the place because it took almost an hour to get my totchos and then I had get my totchos wrapped to go because I was leaving to go see X and was running late. and then I had to leave my precious cargo at the door because they wouldn't let me bring my TOTCHOS in. thankfully they were still there when the show was over and they made for a very nice late night snack!

Woodlands(NuVegan)
had to load up two plates to fit in everything I got (yes both plates just for me!)

tofu scramble, drummies, and the most amazing grits

the best mac and cheese ever, french toast and a positively glorious blueberry scone

Can you tell I like Woodlands??

I thought Woodlands was all Indian food. Where is it? The one in Fairfax?

I need to go to some of these places.

I NEED that first sandwich in my life. I may need to make a trip to DC.

Thing #458,972 that I love about the PPK: I'm among people who would not find it weird to proclaim that I'm planning a trip based on a single photo of a sandwich.

It's on Georgia Ave NW, near Howard University

It used to be called something before Woodlands, I can't remember the name, then it was called Woodlands Vegan Bistro, then it changed its name recently to NuVegan. There is also one in College Park. In DC, it is near Soul Veg and not too far from Sticky Fingers.

I never heard of Spacebar although if you come back and go to VA, I'd also recommend Sunflower vegetarian.

I am on board with both of these statements.

Every time I travel I search the PPK to see what kind of food I should go to while I'm there, and often go WAY out of my way to try things. I would totally take a trip just to eat.
