My brother had a small wedding at my family's house and told my mom a "cake from Wal-Mart" would be fine. That wasn't going to fly with me so I made his wedding cake. It was my first time working with fondant (and making a wedding cake!) so it has a few imperfections but I'm happy with it. It's banana (the kittee is old banana cake recipe) with buttercream frosting under the fondant. It has gold sparkly dusting that doesn't show up in the pics. The roses are made from sugar (I didn't make them). No one else in my family is vegan but everyone loved it so I was thrilled.

That's very pretty. I wish we could see the sparkles... I love sparkly stuff on cakes and such.
