Finished product. It's in a teapot because deep down, I am a fussy old english lady.

Making Cocoa.

I had to use a scarf I made for a tea cozy, because I used my actual tea cozy as a hat for last year's snowman.

I forgot to add the hot cocoa recipe.

In a sauce pan:
1/4 cup of cocoa powder
1/2 cup of sugar (use raw sugar)
dash of salt (sea salt works well)

Mix it up.

Add about 1/3 cup of boiling water and stir. Add about 4 cups of soy or almond milk (i don't think it works well with rice milk).

Heat it up on the stove. Don't let it boil, or it'll get really icky on the bottom, and it'll taste burnt.

After it's hot, you can stir in a teaspoon of vanilla extract, but it is not required. Recipe makes about 3 big mugs full. ENJOY!

Yay for hot cocoa! I OD'd on hot chocolate the other day, but I think my chocolate hangover is gone. Thanks for reminding me. I think it's time for more.

And you and your snowman are super cute!

I should probably make another tea cozy soon. It's really hard pour hot liquid from a teapot with a scarf wrapped around it.

Hahaha!

No, he ate it. I found it a couple of days later as a misshapen wet muddy mess, so I just threw it away, and missed it almost immediately.

thats adorable! For a second I read the title as "hot cocoa in a tea kettle" and all I could think was "NOOOOOOO ONLY WATER IN MY KETTLE"

but yes, that looks ideal.

This could quickly become a never ending chain of misappropriated items. What are you using for a scarf now that you are using your scarf as a tea cosy because the tea cosy is on the snow man's head?
