i need that squash to be erased from my brain. and that spider thing, mel...i may never sleep (or eat a winter squash of any sort) ever again.

I know. And I forking love squash. I haven't been able to purchase one since I saw that picture. FEAR.

For me it's been any gourd-like veggie. It took me about a month to get up the nerve to buy an eggplant. Even then, I felt the need to pray over it before I cut it.

I'm not sure what this looks like exactly, but it sure isn't appetizing. Brains, maybe?

(In reality it's a hunk of absurdly yummy peanut halva (where ground peanuts replace the sesame seeds), a specialty I've only found in Ukraine and Russia.)

If I'd taken a photo of my breakfast today it would have gone straight into this thread.
I had the peanut butter frosting from VCTOtW in a sandwich bag with the corner snipped off. This was leftover frosting, in the fridge. Decided it would make a good topping for my toast. It had got very firm so it made a wider opening for itself and when squeezed out looked EXACTLY like feces. Couldn't take a picture because I had to very quickly spread it out of that shape without thinking too hard, or I wouldn't have been able to eat it.
It was delicious, though far too much and too rich for one piece of toast.
