Does anyone else have this book? I recently purchased it at Borders because they were going out of business and it was inexpensive. I was attracted by the pretty pictures, also I may have a problem when it comes to vegan cookbooks. Has anyone made anything out of it? What do you think?

I checked it out from the library but never made anything from it. I think I remember not being too excited about it and that it called for specific items they sell at their bakery. I am quite sure you could just sub them out with your own vegan options though. I'll be interested to see what you make from it and how it turns out. Might make me take a second look!

Yeah I think it was chocolate chips them sell themselves...and some things called for Crisco...so those are both easy to sub if you are not wanting to use partially hydrogenated shortening.

It has some cute ideas for a kids birthday party like chocolate covered marshmallows and birthday cake in a cone, but it seems like most of the recipes are really simple and not new. Oh well it might come in handy one of these days, maybe I will hold a bake sale.

I got this book from their website 'cause I liked their cookies that I bought from Whole Foods. I haven't gotten around to making anything from it yet either.
