YES YES YES. I tested for this and it was amazing. By far my favourite of their 3 books and that's saying something. I'm away from home right now but when I get back I'll find my tester list of what I loved (everything). The thing that stands out in my mind is a sweet potato po'boy with peppercorn slaw and fennel marmalade, which I tested close to the end. But I made and loved lots. Pre-order it NOW!!!!

That po'boy sounds fantastic, the only book i own by them is vegan substitutaions, when i saw the tester pics i knew i had to pre-order the book, it looks like the majority of the things aren't typical vegan cookbook repeats, because i hate when i get a cookbook and it ends up being a variation of something i have in another book. I'm really excited to get the book

I would love to hear your wrap up Efcliz because based on the pics and Amazon preview, it doesn't sound like a book for me. I'm ok with that, I have tons of vegan cookbooks.

I'm still away, but from memory there's a satisfying mix of things that might be called junk food and other food that's hearty because it's comforting, like chickpea bowls and thick tasty stews. If you don't like frying things there's some recipes you wouldn't want (like a fried mac and cheese) but I think there's enough non-fried stuff. The index is shown on Amazon look inside, but when I get back from holidays I'll get my testing list and do a bit more thorough review (assuming that most of what I tested gets in the final version).

Dammit PPK! You are making me fat and broke. I was trying to convince myself I don't need this book because I should really be eating tiny vegan meals for moderate appetites, but the chipotle wing picture has sold me. I will try to hold out for a few months before purchase though.

I think I'm going to cook exclusively from AFR until this comes out, just in preparation. Because I want to make everything, and it's surely going to destroy me.

Things I loved:
French Toast Dipsticks (My omni won't eat a meal without a slab of steak brother in law requests this on every visit) Tater tot surprise, lovely and comforting and the leftovers are our holiday travel breakfast standards Breakfast chicken steak and sausage gravy Breakfast bowl - tots, bacon, tofu, cheese sauce, what's not to like? Bacon and egg breakfast sandwich Broccotato soup Lentil and bacon stew Tempeh, pepper and pesto sandwich Sweet potato po boys with peppercorn slaw Savoury cheesecake - with cornbread base, genius Scalloped potato pie Chorizo and potato lasagne Cheese tortellini Irish nachos - tots!!! Home fries with chipotle BBQ seasoning - I have made these many times already Crispy mac and cheese balls - you read that right Spicy chickpeas, quick and easy and so comforting Chorizo flautas
I tested loads more but they were the stand outs for me.

I bought this book while I was in the US and I am in love! I haven't had a chance to make anything from it yet, but almost every page seems to have me exclaiming out and makes my tummy grumble. The Hearty Breakfast Bowl is on the top of my list, but only just... so much goodness. I cannot wait to be able to cook from this, and I haven't even finished reading through it completely yet!

The french toast dipsticks are like fried love in my mouth.
I made the whole recipe and they reheat in the toaster oven really well, so there's really no reason not to make them (unless you have some weird thing about fitting into your pants).

I got this a few weeks ago and went nuts over almost every recipe I read. So far we've only used the fried jalapeno batter for a Vegan Fried Things party, but that needs to change toot sweet.

I have some serious love for this book, so far everything I've made has ranged from delicious to can't get enough! Will be doing a blog post on it eventually with what I have made so far, so will post here when I do.
I will just say that you must make the Hearty Breakfast Bowl... Add some roasted cauliflower as well. Tastes like heaven in a bowl!!

I got it yesterday, and even though I haven't made anything out of it yet, it's become my new favorite cookbook, no doubt! I will cook from this all winter. I'm deeply in love with the photographs as well!
