Bryant Terry's Afro-Vegan cookbook is now out. Have any of you bought it? Are you planning to make anything? Post your thoughts on the recipes.

I got it! I will report back. A lot of it sounds good, I'm excited about the greens section especially.

I wasn't a big fan of Vegan Soul Kitchen, but I'm interested. Haven't bought it yet though.

I think the layout for Afro-vegan is better than Vegan Soul Kitchen. It depends on why you didn't like Vegan Soul Kitchen.

There weren't many recipes that appealed to me, and the ones that did, I felt like were too much work for the end result. It's been a while though.

I'd love to peek inside, but the preview doesn't show any recipes. The limited preview makes it appear a lovely book.

Mine shipped! I can't wait! It was my number one anticipated cookbook of '14 along with Salad Ninja. I absolutely love his books, especially The Inspired Vegan.

Book Depository e-mailed to say it's been released, I'm just waiting for them to ship it now. I bought his first book shortly after dipping my toes in veganisim, but I found it a bit scary. I was pretty okay with baking, but when I started cooking vegan I realised how poor my cooking skills actually were.
I'm hoping with some improved skills Bryant's books may be a little less intimidating now, I'm also excited as this is a bit of new world cusine for me, I know very little about African influenced cooking and food.

I'm going to an event with him next week that includes the book, so I haven't ordered it, but I'm really excited about it! Love his stuff.

Looks like a really nice book, I'm watching this thread to hear more from you guys about it.

I haven't posted my review yet but I shared a recipe earlier from it. It was very good:

I picked it up on Saturday. I think it looks fantastic, but I am crazy about his previous two books. It looks like the recipes might be less labor-intensive than his previous work.

That's good to hear. I like The Inspired Vegan, but I don't use it that much because the recipes just take longer than what I'm used to. Anyway, I've pre-ordered the book a while ago. I hope it will be delivered soon!
