I was thinking it would be cool if we had a thread for skillsharing about cookbook writing! (I thought it might make more sense to post it here rather than in the workshop, but if it should really be with the other skillshare threads, mods, feel free to move it.)
I'm hoping people who have experience writing cookbooks might share advice, tips, things you wish you knew before writing a cookbook...that sort of thing. Likewise, people who are thinking about writing a cookbook or currently working on one can ask your "burning" questions, and maybe someone will answer.
I'll acknowledge my personal interest here: I got totally inspired from VeganMoFoing and now I'm thinking about writing a cookbook, so I'd really love to hear from people who have done it before and whether you'd like to talk me out of or into it. ;-)

I'm sorry this thread hasn't gotten any love yet. I want to buy your future cookbook!

I"m certainly no expert, but would be happy to talk with you if I can offer any insights.
Maybe the most important thing for writing a cookbook: theme, theme, theme. A rock solid theme. Investigate the publishers you might be interested in to see what they require for a proposal and send them exactly that.
Ask away.
