who has joanna's cookzines? i have both #1: baby, it's cold outside and #2 [in pdf form]: summer dress separates you from the rest.
i guess #2 isn't as relevant right now, but i'd be into hearing your favorite recipes anyway, since i don't think i've made anything yet!
as for #1, i'm really into the thanksgiving section. i made the stuffed squash last night and i had to stop myself from eating the entire batch of filling. i'm going to make the autumn vegetables and tofu roast very soon, and probably a bunch of other stuff for actual thanksgiving (mushroom dressing!). has anyone made the pumpkin spice bread with streusel topping? NO OIL (save for the tablespoon of EB in the topping)?!?! what about the pancakes?

Oh snap, I don't actually have the second one yet! I was a tester and I can tell you that basically everything in these that I tried rules.
Out of #1, my two favorite things are the pumpkin spice bread and the autumn vegetable and tofu roast. I'll echo the sentiment that I LOVE how Joanna takes simple ingredients and really elevates them.

I dont remember which issues recipes are in.
beer brats raw ricotta and romesco sauce chickpea salad (or with soy curls)!!!!! this stuff is amazing spinach balls pizza dough (easily some of the best pizza dough I've ever had and it makes the best calzones for freezing and reheating even in the microwave) stuffed acorn squash
I know there was a lot more, but these are the ones sticking in my taste buds right now.

Just got both of these, the recpies look great I can't wait to try some out. With Christmas approaching I might have to test out some of those and borrow from the Thanksgiving menu - which we don't have here in Oz. Pumpkin has to be one of my fave vegetables, the more things I can cook it up into the better.
