Posted today on FB by Susan at the Fat Free Vegan: Quote: Please DO NOT buy this Kindle book and if you already did, ask Amazon for your money back. It's composed of recipes copied and pasted from FatfreeVegan without any credit to the real creators. These are not just my recipes; most were submitted by readers like you who wanted to share recipes that worked for them. The "author" or this ebook (and Amazon) should not be making a profit off of other peoples' work. All the recipes are available free at FatFreeVegan.com, so don't waste your money.

Every comment on Amazon is that it is a book of stolen recipes and telling people not to buy it. The 'author' (and I use that term *very* loosely) should be ashamed of herself. Apparently, she was so lazy, she couldn't even be bothered to make it a good book of stolen recipes, just copied and pasted a bunch of stuff. What a despicable piece of work. *rolls eyes*

The book is still up, but they've pulled pricing info at Amazon. Maybe that means it will be removed soon. *crosses fingers hopefully*

I was just reading the reviews on amazon and while I was there they appeared to have taken the listing down entirely, like in the last 10 minutes. Aside from the plaigiarism, the "author" would have had her asparagus handed to her for using the Eat to Live title.

I hesitated to post it because it just seemed so ridiculous, I expected either flaming shitstorm kfischer or even worse, but the FFVegan was pretty upset about it, and it is her site and even better, recipes that readers submitted. Some folks have some nerve. @Monkeytoes, i know, what do you think this person was thinking?? And as if there weren't buckets of sites with really good low fat vegan recipes FOR FREE anyway.

This is apparently a huge issue these days. I heard a news story recently about some author who copied and pasted Dracula. Dracula. The entire thing with a different title. I have no idea how people think things like that are okay.

I get contract work through a web site where people can post jobs they need done and then contractors bid on them. A few times I've seen this one user post a job where she wants people to COPY AND PASTE recipes from vegan blogs so she can make an ebook to sell. She asks that the bidder re-writes the actual cooking instructions, but it's okay to copy and paste the ingredients because that's not copyrighted. That may be true, but it's still a sketchy thing to do...

Usually for making test questions like GMAT, SAT, etc, but even so, come ON!

Kindle needs to get their shiitake together. I've seen so much sketchy stuff when I look through cheap kindle books. They really need to have some sort of system for looking these things over before they allow people to put them up for sale!

I looked in the Apple store and the eBook is there. The 'author' also had 2 other ebooks. I looked at one which seemed to be copies of recipes from the prevention website.

I heard about this too, i follow FFV on facebook. Tried to put a negative review on Amazon but it wont let me this morning. I bet they are going to take it down.
I guess there are a lot of issues with ebooks like this..not just recipes but lots of crocheting and knitting patterns (I am a crocheter) and a lot of porn! (love or hate pornograpy, you still shouldnt STEAL it from somone)
You shouldnt steal stuff from others, be it recipes, advice or even pornography! I know the copyright rules are kind of gray, but still. what a terrible thing to do. I hate people that steal, it is so wrong.
and I LOVE the FFV and Susan's blog. I hate to see this done to her.
