Hope everyone had a great holiday season! Which vegan cookbooks did everyone receive? I am now the proud owner of...
- Isa Does It
- American Vegan Kitchen
- Wild about Greens
- Chicago Diner
- Vegan Ice Cream by Jeff Rogers ( it hasn't been published yet, but my mom got me an uncorrected proof)

I'm so excited to use them all! Like everyone else in the forum I am obsessed with cookbooks and own a ridiculous amount. :-)

Vegan Pie in the Sky! Now my trifecta of Isa dessert books is complete!

I also received Vegan Chocolate, by Fran Costigan. I haven't made anything out of it yet, but it's GORGEOUS. After I got it, I realized that I have another vegan dessert book of hers-I've had it at least 15 years. Costigan is a classically trained pastry chef who later went vegan, and has had the last 20+ years to incorporate her training into her baking/cooking. Her other book is a bit fussy, but the recipes always turn out wonderfully.

I can't wait to use both of these!

I got Chloe's Kitchen. It's gorgeous & I've just bought pretty post-its so I can go through it & mark the recipes I wanna make before I go back to work.
I got my Boyfriend Eat, Drink & Be Vegan by Dreena Burton. No selfishness on my part!!lol! I might label that one too!
I really wanted IDI but my BF didn't realise he couldn't get it from a UK bookshop & didn't have enough time to order it. I may have to treat myself.

I Pm'd you.
PS I love your blog. It tried Rose Elliot's Scrambled tofu after reading your blog. I would never have made it if I hadn't seen it. So thanks.

Have you looked through it yet? What do you think? I used my new ice cream maker for the first time last night and am now obsessed -I was about to search for a thread about making ice cream.

It looks really good, but it's actually a newer version of his book Vice Cream only with 20 more recipes. The recipes are cashew based and sound really yummy!

I got the UnCheese Cookbook. I've tried one of the recipes before and loved it (the cottage cheese) so I'm thrilled to have my own copy and go on an UnCheesePalooza.

I got Vegan Chocolate by Fran Costigan too!

Also Vegan Holiday Kitchen by Nava Atlas.

I'm not done exchanging gifts with family members yet, so my cookbook haul could still grow!

I have Joni's new book too but it hasn't arrived! I'm so pleased that my sister "spoiled" the surprise though because I am so looking forward to it.

I didn't get ANY cookbooks. I did get some Christmas money that I could put towards getting the septic tank pumped, but son amazon order might be a better idea.

I was spoiled this year. I got:

The Cheesy Vegan
Vegan Desserts and Easy as Vegan Pie by Hannah Kaminsky
Vegan Slow Cooking for Two or Just For You
Fusion Food in the Vegan Kitchen
The Veggie Lovers' Sriracha Cookbook
The Complete Guide to Vegan Substitutions

That should keep me busy for a little while.

I got Bake and Destroy and 365 Vegan Smoothies. They both look quite good, have made a couple of the smoothies so far and they were nice.

I got The Great Vegan Bean Book (really excited about this!) and Fusion Food in the Vegan Kitchen (which I'm actually exchanging; you can pry the rest of Joni's books from my cold dead hands but this one doesn't really have much to my taste. I'm SURE it's a "it's not the book, it's me" situation). I'll probably get Vegan Pizza in exchange... or Chloe's Kitchen, which I've checked out from the library before and know I'll use a lot.

I got the new Chicago Diner book, too! I might have squealed. With excitement. My boyfriend - who bought it for me - asked what I'm going to make first. No ulterior motives with that gift, eh?

I got Vegan Eats World, which I wanted so badly. I also got Vegan Holiday Kitchen by Nava Atlas. It seems like people rave most about the Jewish dishes from this one, so that's probably where I will start.
