Sorry this is so extensive but it was already written and easy to lift. 1. Troth Wells - "The World in Your Kitchen" forked up to admit, but my favorite cookbook of ALL time is a vegetarian cookbook. Most of the recipes are vegan, others can be easily veganized. This book is almost entirely off the radar for the vegan community, but it rules for numerous reasons; commentary that actually deals with resource scarcity and the impact first world meat eating has on the rest of the world; a lot of one plate recipes; and just an over arching theme of doing more with less. The flavors that come out of some of these recipes are amazing, yet it's less work going into them and less ingredients. This is my go to cookbook when it's my night to cook. 2. Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Romero - "Vegan With A Vengeance" First vegan cookbook I ever owned. "Veganomicon" is a better one stop shop, but this gets picked for sentimental reasons. So much of my beginner days were tied to this cookbook. So many great recipes. 3. Sarah Kramer - "How it All Vegan" Sarah Kramer. Nothing else needs to be said. 4. Jae Steele - "Get it Ripe" Jae's new cookbook, which we just reviewed not too long ago, is pretty amazing as well, but this gets priority because it contains a life changing recipe, Coconut Cauliflower Chana. fork me. This is a must have for people who want to eat a healthy, balanced vegan diet but don't want to sacrifice taste. 5. Isa Chandra Moskowitz and Terry Romero Another sentimental Isa and Terry Pick. This was the first cookbook I ever tested for and without it there would be no Niagara Vegan Baking Militia.

Oooo, this is a toughie because I own a lot of cookbooks, but mostly I just flip through them and never remember to actually try recipes.
1. Vegan With A Vengeance - my first vegan cookbook is always number one in my heart. 2. Yellow Rose Recipes 3. Veganomicon 4. Ummm. 5. Uhhhhhh.

1. Vegan with a Vengeance is the most userfriendly book I've ever had. I <3 it. And might need to replace it because it is so stained and beaten up.
2. The Gluten-Free Vegan. Because it makes it easy to be gluten-free, even though some of the recipes are too basic.
