I did a trial run of a Veganized Julie-Julia project with Dreena Burton's "The Every Day Vegan" and it went really well, that i had had a few people here + a tonne on facebook ask me to do another one (including more pictures and in-depth stuff) which I am planning on doing. (this is also giving me a chance to actually utalize my cookbooks because I buy,buy buy, and rarely use, use use).
When my blog is up I'll be putting it in my signature, but right now I am kind of at odds which book to do.
Do I want to do "Vive Le Vegan" Dreena's second book, or just go at random!
Here are the ones I'm contemplating on doing
"Vegan with A Vengeance" "Appetite for Reduction" (mostly because I've really over-done it with all the cookies, pies and Ice cream i've eaten this summer and so I wanna lose some weight heee) "Vive Le Vegan" (Dreena Burton) "American Vegan Dinner" (Tami Noyes) "Vegan Diner" (Julie Hasson)
I usually cook for the week and have leftovers (I can never wrap my head around cooking several times a week!). Any suggestions would be great
My "January" project is to make everything from 500 Vegan Meals (Celine & Joni) which is why I didn't list anything from them). thanks so much in advance!

My choices:
#1: VWAV, because I have that one as well and haven't cooked much from it, so it would be great if I could follow your project as inspiration. #2: Vegan Diner - I've been interested in this book for a while. #3 AFR: I own this, but I've made lots of recipes, so I don't really need inspiration... I'd still read your posts, though!

I would do VWAV or Vegan Diner. Or American Vegan Kitchen. Those three books are all fantastic.

I'd go with Appetite for Reduction. It would make a nice healthy base before the upcoming holiday season. Daisysunshine, have I seen you over at VF?

I'd love to see you take on AFR. I've cooked a few things from that book but would love to see pics of all the recipes! I'm so glad you mentioned 500 Vegan Recipes too! I will be looking forward to that. I love that book!

My vote would have to go to American Vegan Kitchen, I have it, but have never cooked from it yet. I'm looking for a little inspiration to start. :)

I'd probably be most interested in seeing the results from American Vegan. It's one of my favorite books, but there's still a lot I haven't made from it. I've made nearly the entirety of AFR, on the other hand.

Another vote for American Vegan as I haven't seen very many photos of the dishes in this book and I need a little inspiration. I love AFR but I know there's already a couple blogs out there doing the Julie/Julia thing with it, there's one called the Reduction Project but it hasn't been updated since 2011 so maybe it's done? I also think 500 Vegan Recipes would be a good one to do, I think I've only made 3 or 4 recipes out of that one since I got it.

Okay :) I've actually picked out my book. :) It's going to be "Quick & Easy Low Cal Vegan Comfort Food" (that is such a mouthful, I'm just gonna call it Low Cal Comfort Heh). American Vegan Kitchen was actually going to be the one I was gonna choose (because it loooks so good), but a lot of the recipes look soooo good but not waistline friendly at the moment. (this is not stopping me from making Very Vanilla Raisin Bread this weekend), and as was pointed out - AFR has been done a lot.
Also: it gave me an oppertunity to buy a new cookbook. :D
Now I just have to figure out how to make blogger look good.

I recently purchased Q&ELCVCF (haha, even that's a mouthful!) but I haven't cooked anything from it yet, so I'm quite interested in following your Julie-Julia project. :-) Do you have a blog yet? If so, please share!

:) I have a blog now - listed in my signature. It's still basic. (I am going to do mini reviews of what I cooked from this summer, (Vegan A La Mode, Vegan Cupcakes, and Vegan Cookies) as well.
