The Kindle version of Peter Reinhart's Artisan Breads Every Day is on sale. I get a price of $1.74 US but remember I'm on the freaky remote server and get some odd prices.

https://www.amazon.com/Peter-Reinharts- ... B0045OUJ58

This is not a 100% vegan cookbook, though many of the recipes are vegan or list subs of agave, and "milks". Some recipes do use eggs.

I've taken this book out of the library and really enjoyed the intro on bread making techniques and using sour dough starter. I often make Peter's Struan Bread, with JohnP's vegan modifications:

You can view the book online as a promo on issuu.com.

I have Sundays at Moosewood and I remember it being fairly vegan friendly compared to a lot of their other books. Because it's global in nature - and it really is a very large and comprehensive book - there are recipes from Asian, African, etc cuisines where the food doesn't tend to be drenched in cheese, and the other animal products have easy substitutes. It's different from the weird cheese casseroles and such in the original Moosewood book. It's not an excessively fussy book or full of impossible to find ingredients, but it's a bit fussier than the other Moosewood books I have for sure. I found it fun to read, and learned about a lot of new dishes - it's far more comprehensive than, say, Vegan Without Borders.

ETA that many of the Moosewood cookbooks do contain fish recipes as well, if that is an issue for anyone. I know Sundays does, don't remember if Cooks at Home does.

Quoting this again because Sundays at Moosewood is on sale again.

Still $17 in Canada :( but also, the link said "not available for purchase" so I wonder if it was a fluke?

No, the sale is not a fluke. It is still showing at $1.99 for me. I wonder if it's saying "not available for purchase" to you because you are in Canada. The link is to Amazon US.

Well, good for everyone else that it's not a fluke! I usually see the prices on the American site no problem, so I'm not sure why it's giving me that warning. No matter I guess.

Also, none of the sales on Chloe's books have been valid on Amazon.ca over the last months. It's annoying since the sales used to be mostly for the same books at the same time on Amazon.com and Amazon.ca.

I really want a friend of mine to grab her ebooks and I've been so excited to send her the links so she can get them cheaply but no.... Not happening :(

I've grabbed many bargains thanks to this thread! It could be a good idea to announce bargains on the PPK Facebook instead after the forum closes.

Is there a link to the FB group? I'm following a page but it doesn't seem that active, just want to make sure I'm in the right place.

The forums are closing? Yikes! I'm not on Facebook and don't have the time a Facebook account would require.

This thread was the first thing I thought of when I heard the forums were closing! I'm afraid the Ebook Bargains will get lost if everything transfers over to the FB group - unless there's a separate group just for Ebook Bargains?

We could include them in the goodreads group (PPK Readers) maybe. I appreciate everyone who posts the bargains here!

I support this idea! I deactivated my fb and am not sure if I'll make a burner account for ppking.

We can make threads in the goodreads group. I just checked and it looks pretty easy to use. We could also link it to a Facebook page if anybody prefers that. It looks like there is some automation that can be set up to repeat posts on Facebook.

Yes!! Love the idea of a Goodreads group. In fact a Goodreads group for vegan cookbooks more generally could be a great idea too.
