Yay! I've been waiting for OSG to have a Kindle deal for a long time.

I can recommend The Taco Cleanse to anyone who doesn't have it. It's a fun read, even if you think you have too many cookbooks.

Thanks, LFL and HeatherBear! I've been on the fence about the Taco Cleanse mostly because of the number of cookbooks I already own, but I can't not get it at that price. I'm glad to have a Kindle copy of OSG too!

That was exactly my reasoning about The Taco Cleanse as well. And thank you, Heather! I picked up Oh She Glows.

I've made a couple of recipes from this cookbook and both were great.

And Oh She Glows is back to its usual price. I'm glad I grabbed it while the grabbing was good.

Maybe mention this on the current PPK cooking challenge thread so the right people see it?

I downloaded Taco Cleanse, this book is hilarious! It is going to get me in trouble at yoga when I imagine myself as a sloppy taco flapping back and forth spilling fillings as I lie on my back and roll my knees from side to side.

Something called Fresh from the Farmer's Market is $2.99 for someone looking for a vegetable cookbook. It's not vegan, though - can't comment on how vegan-izable it might be. https://www.amazon.com/Fresh-Farmers-Ma ... nav-subnav

Thanks, yaylentils.

Moosewood Simple Suppers: Fresh Ideas for the Weeknight Table is currently on sale for $1.99:

https://www.amazon.com/Moosewood-Restaurant-Simple-Suppers-Weeknight-ebook/dp/B00486UEW6/

I don't have this one so I'm not sure how vegan-friendly it is. From looking at the table of contents, it does contain some fish recipes. But I'm drawn to the concept of weeknight recipes, so I bought it.

The Heart of the Plate
by Mollie Katzen is also $2.99.

https://www.amazon.com/Heart-Plate-Vegetarian-Recipes-Generation-ebook/dp/B00AXS6CHE/

This one I already have. I've only made a couple of things from it but both were good.

And re. Taco Cleanse, this was posted in the Taco Cleanse thread yesterday:

Since I don't live in the UK I can't check if the sale is still going on there, but I hope so!

Dr. Greger's How Not to Die is $2.99 today (it's under daily deals, so probably just a one-day thing):

I'm reading Dr. Greger's book right now! It's highly informative yet readable. He provides a great deal of education and facts re: the science supporting a plant-based diet. It's highly reviewed on Amazon for good reason. $2.99 is a steal. Am I being completely unrealistic to think a book like this should be suggested reading for anyone with health issues? Maybe insurance companies could give out free copies?

I picked up Dr. Geger's book, though I hate the title, How Not to Die. Talk about over-promising and under-delivering.

Vegetarian Suppers from Deborah Madison's Kitchen is also on sale today, for just $1.99. This cookbook isn't vegan, but has some vegan and veganizable recipes.

I read How Not To Die and liked it a lot. It's informative and funny. I don't like the title and hope it's the publisher's choice. The contents do specify it's about doing what one can to try to avoid a premature death by the most common killers, inasmuch as one is also lucky, so the book itself is not claiming to achieve miracles.

I realize I am too late to the party here, but I just wanted to say that I've had this book for a very long time and I really, really like it. The recipes are generally quick and easy and Nava includes loads of menu ideas. It's a very handy book!

I always assumed the title was supposed to be tongue in cheek. I watched his youtube channel before I had ever heard of the book, and he has a very, very dry sense of humor. With so many books that promise ridiculous things about health, though, I can definitely see how it might be taken literally!
