Well I believe it's preorderable in the UA, though bit in the UK Amazon Yet... My faith in my no-more-cookbooks theory is shaky at best...

I tested close to 90 recipes and loved pretty much everything. The few recipes I didn't love, I still liked. Too many to list!
Still like 7 months to go though, omgggzzz.

so sad that I had missed the testing call, I was hoping to be able to do it! :) It's pre-orderable in Canada (amazon.ca). done and done! (I ordered some pancake rings to get the free shipping LOL).
October though? so far away!

I tested about 20 recipes I think (major slacker). There was only 1 recipe I didn't care for but I think it was personal taste. A couple of them became staples in our household.

Is there a Flickr pool for the tested recipes? I would love to drool over it, if so.

Don't think so but AllyChristine has some beautiful pictures of the food she has done. I generally don't take pictures.

I don't think there's a flickr pool, but here's some stuff: Jess's FB testing album: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 072&type=3And some photos from the actual book, by VK Rees: http://vkreesphotography.com/january-2013-whew/Thanks for the enthusiasm, guys!!!! I can't wait till it's on your kitchen counter. Thank you! My boring day at work just got better. Also, Vanessa is such a talented photographer. This book is going to be beautiful.

sadly my name is Lisa so it really shouldnt be a leap for me.....

I put a bunch of photos on my blog during MoFo (and maybe before, I can't remember). If someone made a Flickr thing I would probably add them there at some point but I'm pretty busy and important (read: lazy, distracted by pictures of puppies on the internet) so no promises.
I'm eating a tofu scramble from this book right now! If someone had told me six months ago that I would have scramble recipes so easy that I would actually make them before work each morning, I probably would have laughed and then punched them for getting my hopes up. But I've been doing it for months now and it's a total game changer!
The testing index for this book is also pretty much my go-to when I don't know what to make for dinner. I predict that when the actual book arrives, it'll last like a month before falling apart from constant use.

I need to get myself a time machine because I need this book yesterday. All the photos look great and I think I want to make everything I saw!

So, yeah, this book is pretty amazing. All the food has a medium to very high yum:effort ratio, which is really what I want most of the time (I'm a busy grad student!). Even the meals that take longer have a corresponding increase in yumminess. I tested around 45 recipes, and sooo many things are now in regular rotation at our house.

I went over my tester notes yesterday and I forgot that the faux tuna salad is my go to salad. I made it a few times after without looking at the recipe.
I also have to remake the saag.
