I was kind of excited about this until I was looking through the preview on Amazon and saw the chart about cholesterol and salt. For some reason it's really annoying me that the chart is saying that my PB&J has cholesterol in it. I guess they're assuming that all bread has eggs/dairy?
I agree, Nicole. That is annoying.
I got this cookbook yesterday, I had pre-ordered it a few months ago. I have to admit I am not really blown away by any of the recipes after reading through it last night. There is nothing new or exciting in there, just the same old mantra of "oil will kill ya, salt will too and stay away from sugar." These kinds of books tend to bring out the anorexic in me.
The food looks pretty dry but probably good for a quick weeknight meal. If I try anything I will let you all know but there was nothing that really jumped out at me. It reminded me of the Happy Herbivore cookbook.
