I've just pre-ordered the Great vegan Bean book (or whatever). I'm super excited.

I don't feel so sure about Whole Grain Vegan Baking after reading about it on Vegan Appetite. It says its recipes are 100% whole grain (which is what could be expected from the title, but I usually like a mix of whole grain and all-purpose), contain no margarine, and have healthier sweeteners (whatever that means). So maybe a bit healthier than I wish. But I think I'd like to give it a try anyway.

Vegan Pizza and the Sriracha cookbook look great. And I'd be tempted by One-Dish Vegan if I didn't have the huge 1000 Vegan Recipes cookbook by the same author.

I wish the vegan and vegetarian cookbooks were not all mixed together on Amazon...

if the whole grain baking book is anything like the baking recipes in 500 vegan.... you're not going t miss it!
I usually do whole wheat pastry flour instead of all purpose, and i can't tell a diff. i hope that helps. :)

I did some testing for Great Gluten Free Eats Gone Global, there were a lot of really good and interesting recipes. One of the tofu recipes my husband still requests over and over and over, it’s just that good!

If you don't mind me asking, how do you become a tester for cookbooks?
I was in the store yesterday and overheard someone saying she was testing a recipe for a book.

There are different ways. Isa will generally post something on the forums when she is looking for testers. A lot of cookbook testers keep previous testers or give preference to previous testers. I've only tested for Isa but if you follow blogs of other cookbook writers, they might put out calls for testers. If there is a particular cookbook author you like, you could try emailing them and asking and tell them that you are interested.

I have a lot of confidence in Whole Grain Vegan Baking because Celine and Tami are really good at what they do, and Celine has been experimenting with different flours and sweeteners on her blog for years. However, i'm confident that they're going to get more than the usual amount of amazon reviews complaining about using oil/fats/sugar of any kind because of the subject manner.

Also as much as I love EB, I do run out of it and forget to replace it ASAP so anything that makes a book more pantry-friendly is okay in my book.

It says on her Website: "I’ve also developing recipes for a new book called One-Dish Vegan Meals which will be a complete revision of an earlier title, One-Dish Vegetarian Meals."

It is amazing how Robin can have vegetarian/vegan options - and not one real duplicate. she's a wizard, I tell ya.
i've noticed her "vegan" books are more.... intriguing than the vegetarian ones.like Quick Fix Veg vs QF Vegan - vegan wins hands down in the recipes that caught my interest.

agreed, robin is great. I don't love all of her cookbooks, but the few that I have (QFV, PV, VM&P) I really really like. Admittedly, I felt that QFVeg was a bit "weird" compared to QFVegan. I checked QFVeg out of the library and the recipes really did not interest me at all. I was surprised by that. Guess it's just personal taste, but I think QFVegan is much better ;)

Some time ago, I told my omni father I was becoming vegan and showed him 1000 Vegan Recipes... and next time I saw him, he had bought it along with Quick-Fix Vegan, because he wanted healthier recipe books than the Betty Crocker he had. That really made me happy! We like to cook together from time to time, so I think QFV will be convenient for that.

Thanks! I had a look at QFV and it has less specialty ingredients than most vegan cookbooks I've seen, which seems convienent for use by an omni.
