Hey guys,

Does anyone have The Ayurvedic Vegan Kitchen by Talya Lutzker?
http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Ayurved ... 1570672866

Just put a hold on it in my library and wondering how the recipes are...

Despite not being completely vegan, I am loving Tastes of Ayurveda by Amrita Sondhi. I want to make so many of the recipes!

Thanks!

Have you had a chance to try any recipes from your library copy of this book, saveur? Like you, I also have Tastes of Ayurveda and love it. It may be my very favorite book on the subject. I am curious how The Ayurvedic Vegan Kitchen compares.

Yes! I love this cookbook!

Winter Vegetable Stew - Added adzuki beans. I liked the combination of ginger, miso and dill. The broccoli is probably not needed but I liked the little florets in there. I omitted the green curry paste.

Mung Bean Stew - Simple but good. I omitted the potatoes and subbed collards for kale.

Better Than Chicken Soup - Very good. I added chickpeas. :)

Cinnamon Cabbage and Apples - My only flop so far.. It was a bit too weird for me, but still good. I just wouldn't repeat it.

Some of the recipes call for different sea veggies that I don't have (astralagus and raw nori which I haven't been using). I have a feeling raw nori is different then the strips I have because it calls for 1/4 cup.

What have you enjoyed from Tastes of Ayurveda?

Made the dal and it was simple. Without oil it was more mild than I usually eat but I liked the bok choy in it. Did not add the sea veggies or lecithin.
