Has anyone tried any recipes from the Virgin Vegan cookbook by Linda Long?

I made the granola. I was intrigued because it is a stovetop method, and it used lots of healthy ingredients - blackstrap molasses, wheat germ, etc. It tastes like a healthy granola but worked much better when combined with a sweet fruit.

No, but now I want banana milk. Also, the author has the same name as one of my aunts! I wonder if Aunt Linda has been secretly writing vegan cookbooks in her spare time? She is pretty awesome already, so I guess it's a possibility.

i sadly haven't heard of this book but the preview on amazon is pretty generous. if i didn't already have 'vegan for life' i would probably get this book. i think the "snacks! yay!" chapter is such a cute name :)

there's so much vegan stuff being published it's hard to keep up.....

I have both - the first is better. The second one has a few cooking errors. The recipes are not to complicated and I was curious....

I know! Every time I search through The Book Depository I find something new. My wishlist is now several pages long!

I may hold off on purchasing Virgin Vegan for the time being but I'll keep my eye on this thread in case there are any rave reviews.

i think some of the recipes if not most (in the second book) look like stuff the redid from other recipes/sites.

Maybe I don't understand English properly or need to know the context but why is this book called Virgin Vegan? It's just that what with Crazy Sexy Kitchen and The Sexy Vegan and Skinny Bisque and all, I feel a bit overwhelmed with, hum, unusual cookbook titles.
