Would anyone like to talk about Vegetarian with a Vengeance?

I wonder if it has any good potato recipes. Vegan with a Vengeance does.

from what i gathered on the book's amazon page discussion posts, the author(s) and book are not english, and someone else (the publisher seems to deny doing it) basically renamed it instead of doing a direct translation (someone said the original title would translate to something like "vegetarian delights"). so, i feel bad for the author. the publisher, who has made multiple posts on the amazon page, definitely come off as self righteous, unapologetic tools.

my son calls tots "spongebob square fries", is that still vegan?

I looked up this book - and these two were in the 'others who viewed this viewed these...'

I saw this too and my daughter totally squicked herself out when i called her over to look at it.

what the fizzle. I especially can't believe the positive reviews both of them have gotten from a few people.

Sorry to bump this thread again; I just realized I actually have this exact book in it's original Danish, and yeah, it's called 'Vegetarisk Vellyst' which literally translates to 'Vegetarian Pleasures/Delights'. The book itself is actually really lovely and has great pictures, so it's too bad the publisher had to be a cork.

Somehow I hadn't realized yet that W T F gets translated to what the fizzle.

Curly fries are the best! But I've been afraid that maybe they were doing something not vegan to make them. Are curly fries about as vegan as regular fries?

There was something from the book in this month's Vegetarian Living - maybe something about vegetarian sandwich ideas? About 95% of them were cheese or egg I think, I only skimmed it.
