I got an e-mail to say it's been released. I'm kind of excited as I always think of pies as a very American thing, people in diners choosing from half a dozen pies - therefore quite exotic and mysterious. :) That said savoury pies are really common here in Oz.

There will be a bit of a wait till my copy arrives, so fellow PPKer's with quicker delivery service, make things so I may live vicariously through you until my copy arrives! :)

i really like Hannah's dessert books (and wouldn't mind completing her trilogy) but i'm going to hold out at least until the Look Inside feature is up. i don't make pie nearly enough to buy another pie book without first investigating.

Does anyone have this one? I have Vegan Pie in the Sky already, but I'd like to have a book with some savory pies in it. I need to decide between this one and Dynise Balcavage's Pies and Tarts with Heart. Can anyone list the savory pie recipes in Kaminsky's Easy as Vegan Pie? I can't view them on Amazon.

Mine arrived today, it's just what I needed, I've been laid low for the last week with a virus. What a pick me up this was. And as much as I love Pie in the Sky and Pies & Tarts with Heart, I think this may just be my favourite of the three. While I wait to fully recover I'll have time to pick what I absolutely must make first.

there are no words to say how m.a.d. I am at amazon. i have to wait 2.5 months to get this (after being pushed back twice).
(I saw this at work - there is a speccolus spread. I've never had this mysterious cookie or spread, so when my book FINALLY comes, i'm gonna go make that).

Have you tried to call them and complain? They're customer service is pretty good -- it's possible they will even give you something to compensate for the delay.

I've had this book for a while, but for some reason - probably my weird aversion to actually making pie even though it's my favorite thing to eat - haven't made anything out of it. UNTIL NOW. Sweet merciful crepe the Nutterscotch pie is a magical thing. It's more or less butterscotch pudding with almond butter cooked in - I made my almond butter from scratch & went with toasted and salted, although I don't think it specified either way.

Note to self: MAKE MORE OF HANNAH'S RECIPES AT ALL TIMES.

Note to cookbook publishers: Please, please stop with the tiny tiny fractions. I couldn't see the ones in with this recipe from any distance, with my contacts, my reading glasses, no vision correction whatsoever - I finally had to go find a young person to read them for me. :) I will be happy to offer my testing services free to any publisher to see if middle-aged and up folks will actually be able to read your book.
