Just pre-ordered Isa's new holiday entertaining cookbook! I'm so sad that I have to wait 7 months to hold it in my hands. Any testers here who want to give their thoughts/impressions/spoilers??

Maybe it's just all my ingrained Jewish guilt..but something about Challah croutons and bacon seitan together just rubs me the wrong way...I can't do it.

Those hot dogs look amazing though...I want one now! (Not sure what holiday those are for...4th of July I guess?)

Hot dogs could be Labor Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, birthday, Super Bowl, March Madness, etc. in the US. Everyday is hotdog holiday! Yum, I love hotdogs.

Can't wait for this one. As with all things Isa, the wait is worth it. I'm going to hold off on pre-ordering because I picked up IDI at an event here in SF with Isa. She made snacks from the book and it was the most fun!

Ha, I was just thinking last night I really want to make matzoh ball soup. I had no idea Isa was bringing out another book soon, will definitely get this. That linguine looks dreamy.

Amazon preview says this has 448 pages.

If it really is that long, I will not be able to contain my glee.

Testing got a little wonky for this one, I think just because Isa was so busy with her restaurants, but all the stuff I actually got to test was great, as expected. Some finicky stuff because it's an entertaining book, but also a lot of easy potential weeknight recipes.

I saw a tweet from Isa, saying the pub date is Nov. 10th, but Amazon is still saying Nov. 15th. Does anyone know more details? I am really looking forward to this cookbook!

I was at Modern Love this weekend and they had a copy to play with. It looks amazing! I had already pre-ordered mine but then also ordered one for my mom. :)

I got mine too! It's so beautiful, OMG. I made the fancy Cabbage and Carrots which is so simple and tasty. I'm all set to make the Jambalaya today too. I've never cooked with red rice before so I'm really excited. Yay for a new Isa book!!!!

I made the Spicy Chocolate Cupcakes with Hot Candied Pecans last night. I haven't gotten to eat one since there are only 12 and they're for an event, but I tried all of the components separately and they were all extra delicious!

Also - I accidentally referred to the Cinco de Mayo section as the "Cinco de Mayo Department," so I think I'm going to refer to all sections of it as "departments" now.

I got mine yesterday. Slight mix-up with UPS but it arrived yesterday morning. I then spent the day reading through it.

Last night I made the Peanut butter swirl brownies. Love them. I might cut down on the peanut butter a bit as they were so filling. But these were easy to make and I see me making them over and over again.

I had superfun times over the weekend cooking from the new book. I made the Buffalo Chickpea Pitas With Ranch (http://www.isachandra.com/2014/01/buffa ... ith-ranch/), the winter Squash Cups (http://www.mindbodygreen.com/0-27584/yo ... -cups.html), the salad with the beet hearts from the valentines-day chapter, the roasted radishes, the traditional stuffing and the pepperoni potato soup (st. patrick's day). Everything was delicious, my fave were the winter squash cups. Very weeknight-friendly recipe and a meal on its own (also true for the pepperoni potato soup)!

I'm making four things out of it for Thanksgiving! I can't wait to find out what Corn Pudding tastes like.

It's so huge and pretty! I'm going to bring the cauliflower casserole to Thanksgiving at my mom's, since all the traditional stuff will already be covered. I'm lucky enough that my mom and aunt veganize as much as possible for me.

My dad's house, different story. Thinking about the shepherds pie for there, so I can have a dish at all and everyone else can have a tasty side.

That's one of the recipes I'm making too. I was going to do the Green Bean Casserole, but that description of the Cauliflower Casserole made it too intriguing to pass up.
