Vcon banana bread mentions adding chocolate chips if you wish, but doesn't say how much chocolate chips. Help?

you can add 1/2 cup to a cup depending on how much chocolate you want in it!

Yay! I'm actually adding raspberries (and making muffins out of it,) not chocolate, but I tend to do my additions based on what's worked for others previously. Hopefully the raspberries aren't too wet though.

You're a superhero for answering so fast, now my chik'n nuggets from Vegan Dad won't burn!

It seems like I remember there being an error in the Pumpkin baked ziti, but I don't have my book marked. Anybody know if there was and if so, what the error was? thanks

sorry to beg, but is there any chance of getting that old type thread back? I am told there is a typo in the VCTOYCJ Mocha Mamas recipe, but no one can tell me what it is!

I'm making the lime-coconut cupcakes from VCTOTW and it seems very thin, they have come up looking ok but maybe a bit too moist (as in not fully cooked moist)...I'll wait til they air out a bit.

They are amazingly good! I forgot that coconut oil is solid at room temperature so when they cooled they were fine! I guess because coconut oil is liquid for about 75% of the year in Queensland, maybe they will be a different texture for us sometimes? It's getting cool at night now so the oil goes pretty solid.

Anyone had issues with the amount of water the Fresh Dill Basmati Rice with Chard and Chickpeas? The recipe calls for 2 cups and I ended up adding another 3 before my rice was cooked enough. I soaked the rice and the only other change I made was to leave out the dill (ick) but I can't see how that would make a huge difference...

Thanks!

Anyone know anything about the VWAV lemon corn waffles having a typo? I have the UK version so it might be different but my batter turned out so thin and I didn't think to add more flour and produced a big burnt/uncooked mess.
It says 165g flour and 75g cornmeal if that means anything to anyone..

I've only had that problem when I used brown rice (for obvious reasons).

I was flipping through V'Con last night and realized I didn't double the water when I made it - I halved the rice instead.

Regarding VCTOTW Recipe for Chocolate Cherry Creme Cupcakes. Does anyone know is there are any corrections on the Saucy Cherries? I have made these three times and they taste amazing but the sauce never thickens at all. Again, they taste amazing so it's not a big deal. Just wondering...
Thanks!!!

I just mixed up the Raspberry Blackout Cake from VWAV and the batter seems really runny. I'm going to try it anyway and see what happens, but are there any errors in the flour or liquid?

Okay, so the cake turned out and I guess the batter is just really runny. In case anyone else questions the recipe, just trust it!

I made the Veganomicon Black Bean Burgers yesterday, and I realized that there is no salt at all in the recipe. Uhm. My canned bean weren't salted... are they usually in the US? It is, of course, not a big problem, just a bit annoying when you realize it just after forming beautiful patties...

Yes, canned beans in the U.S. are normally salted.

I was wondering about the caramelized onion quiche in VB, is 3 lbs of onion really the right amount? It seems like a lot.

I haven't made that exact recipe, but it doesn't sound like a surprising amount. When you slow cook and caramelize onions they cook down a lot.

Lychee cupcakes and icing call for coconut milk... Is this the refrigerated stuff or canned drink making stuff?
